  1. We should be doing what West Ham are doing with Rice. His price was £60m, then £80, then £100m, now it’s £200m. Highly likely he goes less than that, but he’s worth £80-100m to us.
  2. Garth Crooks has absolutely no idea what day it is, dreadful pundit. I don't bother winding myself up about him.
  3. We played really well yesterday I thought. A dodgy pen, a few missed chances, and a bit of a howler from Forster, put us 2-0 down. The third was just stupid, not sure why Lyanco was having a go at someone instead of tracking Traore, but last min… A disappointing result, but performance was decent I thought. On another day we win that game. They’re a decent side too, despite all their theatrics, very irritating and verging on cheating.
  4. Phenomenal
  5. Only scored 3 and let in 2 in their last 8 games and got 12 points from them....madness when you look at the rest of the league.
  6. Small was on the bench midweek I think.
  7. They're trying to recall Emerson to play left back, and offered something like £5m to get him back early and break the deal, but Lyon said no. I'm guessing there is a possiblity that could happen for us, but I can't see that being beneficial for the player or either club tbh.
  8. He works hard, and he's quick, but thats about it. So wasteful when he gets chances, and just overall is not that good unfortunately. Really hope he can improve next season, or this one could easily start looking like a dud.
  9. Yeah - would take a draw here, they're a decent side that generally cause us problems, on a decent run. But keep it tight and we're more than capable of nicking one, but we seem to have gone back into conceding every game so think we'll probabaly need 2 to win.
  10. Seemed to work pretty well at West Ham, and vs Spurs...and over the time Ralph has been here.
  11. Whenever Newcastle want it to be…
  12. We can turn it into champions league thread.
  13. It was kind of both. Depending on whether we had the ball or where we had the ball. Diallo pulled wider at times and Bednarek moved into more of a RB position, we seemed to switch in game.
  14. Wasn't really a 3-5-2 last night, more of a hybrid between 4-2-2-2 and 3-4-3 it felt.
  15. I like Perraud, thought he was excellent last night. He's not played much this season, and hasn't let anyone down when he has played. Will be interesting to see how he gets on with a prolonged time in the side if Tino is out for a while.
  16. Yeah, would be a good option. Also potentially Diallo in for S Armstrong, who hasn't quite got up and running yet, and wouldbe very harsh on Diallo to drop him after last night
  17. Don't think they've been "typical Burnley" for a few seasons now anyway. Partly due to injuries. It's definitely left them in the shit, but no, they have to accept the bid. The player doesn't have to go though, and to leave it to the last day, would risk them not getting medical / contract terms sorted in time.
  18. Luckily for them, they got those recent wins against Watford and Villa, otherwise they'd be right in the shit. Having got those two results, I can't see them being sucked in this season. Expect them to go down next season though.
  19. Didn't see the game, but sounded bent as f*ck.
  20. Would go back to the 4-2-2-2 personally: Forster; KWP Bednarek Salisu Perraud; Romeu JWP; Armstrong Tella Redmond Broja
  21. The league have changed the rules this year I believe, which is why a bunch of their kids got sold with buy backs, rather than being sent out on loan. (Inc Tino) Broja is absolutely superb, and I'd be shocked if Chelsea let us buy him, but heres hoping. But, the odd cameo off the bench is completely different than starting most weeks and being the main man. He's loving being part of this Saints team it seems, and why wouldn't he. I don't want to see him go back to Chelsea at the end of the season, and he's wasted sat on their bench next season.
  22. £28m for 30 year old Chris Wood. Good lord.
  23. Diallo, JWP and Romeu were brilliant. Liked the use of the hybrid 3/4 at the back. Perraud ran them ragged down the left hand side. JWP MOM for me, with Diallo a close second. Just love how he keeps things so simple. Great performance.
  24. The best refereeing performance I can remember in ages, barely noticed him. Let the game flow. More of that please.
  25. It’s a joke, always used to be an 11pm train, absolute crap from SWT
