Played well tonight I thought. Him and Lyanco at the back is a bit much at times, but don’t see Ralph dropping Willy at the weekend
-
Willy; Tino Stephens Salisu KWP; JWP Romeu; Redmond Tella Broja Armstrong. Get those 3 points. They’re not all that.
-
Whether he is our best all round striker or not, and people are welcome to have their opinion on that one, he IMO, his the most likely to score goals, and stretches defences. Was class tonight. So quick and caused them all sorts of problems
-
I’m not necessarily talking about signings, though of course they’ll make them. More to do with the fact there will be a lot of positivity around with talk of new signings etc, which will improve current players performances…maybe. I don’t think any new signings can play against us anyway?
-
Absolutely, 7 points from the next 5 would be massive for us. Not expecting anything against Spurs or West Ham, so 2 wins and a draw needed from Brentford, Newcastle and Palace. Would leave us on 23 after 21 games. If we don't get results this week, we could be right in the shit come Jan 1st, desparately needing 3 points against a likely resurged Newcastle.
-
Wouldn’t be the worst thing to get a few strikers back!
-
He’s mostly been the player I was expecting him to be. Lively, busy, works hard, but incredibly wasteful and gives the ball away quite a bit. Unfortunately this is the market we’re in, due to finances.
-
Bonkers. We’re a poor side, who leaks goals and doesn’t score many. We are 100% in the shit this season. I do believe Ralph is capable of keeping us up though.
-
Thats a shame, Guita is shite.
-
So looks like atleast one of Armstrong and Broja will be available. EIther Tella or Redmond can play up top with one of them. Not the end of the world.
-
Normally go to either the Faltering Fullback or Twelve Pins. Two decent pubs. Walkable from the ground.

Shite draw, wanted a new ground, been there multiple times!

The key question regarding points lost...
Saint Garrett replied to NewYorkSaint's topic in The Saints
Agree, and this is 100% down the the players to take the chances, not the manager. The manager has got things spot on, if we should be 3 or 4 up at HT. Broja, despite his brilliant goal, missed at least 3 very decent chances on Saturday, 2 of which were in the first half. Adams also missed a very decent chance. At the end of the day, it's been very similar for about 10 years. Even under Poch / Koeman, it was the same just with better players, and therefore better results. We dominate, aren't clinical enough, and end up either with a 1-1 draw or a 0-1 defeat. Same with Puel. we just never got a result at home because we couldn't score goals. We have to learn to be more clinical with our chances, and then the game is over and done with. I don't think this is a problem of the manager personally. -
How do you know it's 6 months? It might be a month?
-
Is Diallo fit? Could be Smallbone/JWP in CM, with a half fit Stephens and Lyanco at the back....and a debut 40 year old in goal... Enjoy the day out...the worst bit will be from 3pm for a few hours.
-
Clearly a decent player with decent pedigree, it's more whether he's fit enough and capable enough, but he's a no lose signing really. I would expect one of Forster or Macca will be back by the time the transfer window opens, or if not, we can get someone else then. He is decent with his feet though, and was picked ahead of Hart at Cityfor a while becuase of his strength in that area. It's worth a punt for sure.
-
Alex Cook reporting that we’re looking into Willy Cabarello. Probably no chance then…
-
Yup, it'll be a cheap option regardless.
-
Ralphs already said we won't be signing a new striker in January. Think if we were going to sign someone it would be in the "10" position, but that would surely require one to leave. Will be interesting to see where we target, as historically, we don't do much business in January.
-
Thought he signed a new contract back in the summer?

cUnacceptable inconsistency and appalling standard of referees
Saint Garrett replied to cambsaint's topic in The Saints
Feels like every home game this season, we've had completely incapable refs. Not sure whether thats my rose tinted glasses, but another shit performance from the ref last night. Ndidi made about 10 fouls. -
Great to have him back last night, we’re a better side when he’s in it.
-
A good side, will be a tough game. Really could do with 3 points. Rest Tino and give Perraud a chance on the left. Hopefully S Armstrong is fit again.
-
Not sure if it’s happening more, or whether they’ve just decided to assist these days. Club have the best medical facilities available so might as well assist. Could be the difference between alive/dead. Hopefully they’re ok.

So no rumours then...
