He was living at one point in Manor Road if memory serves. If he wasn't living there it was family, above what was snippets hair dressers near the butchers. Can't think of any family on the estate that I know.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/internationals/8414235.stm That map of candidate cities is a travesty for the South. With upto 18 stadiums being named I guess most will be selected, with London get 3 or 4 as in the article. Fair play to Plymouth and Milton Keynes for having councils with the balls to bid.

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the Sky money is Jan is only 7m, is that right? There's no way that'll cover their debts coming due. As for the we have several banks queuing up, I find that hard to believe TBH.
-
Which is a real ****er as they had missed out on the first round of closures. Last one out of Woolston please turn out the light! Only three real shops left now, Superdrug, Boots and the Coop. The rest of the damn place is takeaways and charity shops.
-
Which is fair enough, but three superiors within the camp were found not guilty post war and released, if he follows the same defence I wonder if he'll get the same result? Seems unfair to find his superiors not guilty but the man shutting the gas chamber door guilty, they were all culpable. Personally, once this trial is over I hope the world can move on and the "Nazi Hunters" will go into retirement. Yes if guilty these people did horrific things, and people should always pay for their crimes, but at 89 and looking like he did I don't feel a great deal is being gained by putting him on trial.
-
You're correct Pancake. The issue I have with this trial is that his superiors in the camp have already been found not guilty, if he was just a foot soldier as alledged it's going to be hard to find him guilty is it not?

27 games left to go, as long as we can keep our current form we'll be in with a shout assuming some teams have a poor run. Not all have a squad as large and well equipped as ours so I live in hope! It's unlikely we'll make it, but if we do I wouldn't be afraid of any team.

The only time I went to Spurs they have such "fantastic" fans they were handing out song sheets so the locals knew what to sing!!!!

Double standards TDD, Double standards. We say they're now terrorists but 30 years ago the US were training them to do exactly the same thing to the Russians. Yet more shiite (pardon the pun!) foreign policy decisions by the yanks that come back to haunt them.
-
We could indeed, apart from the from the fact that we're (US & UK) the main targets for these radicals due to our foreign policy decisions. As pointed out above this post, if wasn't so long ago the US were supplying the arms and training to the Afghans to fight the Russians. Lets face it, we say worldwide issue, but when was the last time the Irish, Greeks, Icelandics, Danes, Finns, Swedes etc bombed/attacked by Al Qaeeda? It's primarily a UK/US issue, the Madrid bombings were correct me if I'm designed to get the Spanish to pull out. Anyway, off topic quite alot, the letter issue has been blown out of all proportion by the gutter press scum at the sun.

It wasn't so long ago we'd have been crying out to sign her up to add some aggression to our "weak" midfield/defence :-D

In which case, cheating ****. Forgot to answer the original question, yes it does matter
-
Now I agree with what has been said in regards to cheating, but playing devils advocate look at the rules below. I didn't watch the incident, so I can't comment, but the ref could have thought there was an attempt to trip the player. So, regardless of contact the ref could have thought there was intent to foul. How ****ed would you be getting a penalty awarded against you because the ref thought there was excessive force in your valid 50/50 tackle when you win the ball ! Direct Free Kick A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following seven offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force: • kicks or attempts to kick an opponent • trips or attempts to trip an opponent • jumps at an opponent • charges an opponent • strikes or attempts to strike an opponent • pushes an opponent • tackles an opponent A direct free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following three offences: • holds an opponent • spits at an opponent • handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area) A direct free kick is taken from the place where the offence occurred (see Law 13 – Position of Free Kick). Penalty Kick A penalty kick is awarded if any of the above ten offences is committed by a player inside his own penalty area, irrespective of the position of the ball, provided it is in play.

Great news for all users of the RM. Hopefully they'll be able to come to an agreement of how to implement the 2007 agreement!

Funny story for you Thorpe. There was a guy at Southampton Mail centre who never works on a Thursday as it's his day off. On the strike Thursday he signed for overtime and went in!!!

The last time I looked, I thought tax evasion was a crime!

WG, as I pointed out to a postie last week. The CWU best make the most (not sure how) of this strike, come next year the Tories will probably be in power and will privatise the whole damn thing not just 30% as Labour had wanted.
-
And you know how much I earn how exactly? Unless you know me personally how can you make such a statement? It's just crossed my mind who you might be! Overpaid in your opinion mate, it's all relative in regards to responsibility. Do I feel overpaid in relation to a postie no, a paramedic, yes.

I've used it, gave some furniture away. As pointed out though I'm sure some people use it to "make a living", which peeves me big style.

To be fair BTF, that's his/her interpretation of what's happening to them. There are lots of other staff in other companies who have a mantra of more for less in the same situation. My working week is 37 hours, everyone I know does at least 1-2 hours every day unpaid as we're salaried. Rightly or wrongly we do as there is a risk of losing your job if you're in the bottom 20% come appraisal time due to unsatisfactory performance. Given the current state of the economy, with 2.5m (?) people unemployed I don't think it's the right time to be bleating on about change. I honestly think the CWU leadership are leading their members in the wrong direction on this one.
