As I read this thread I am looking at a picture of my son with Jimmy Case at an open training session about 25 years ago ! (It is on the wall in my study!). It meant a lot to him at the time and I also remember it as a great day, meeting all the players of that time ! I'm afraid that fan websites seem to bring out the worst in some people who always tend to look for a 'hidden agenda' ! I'm delighted that those who attended enjoyed it and hope that 25 years down the line they still have something to proudly look back upon !

Went there a number of years ago and loved it ! There are slopes for all different levels of skiing ability and the place was great (the bar half way up the mountain was a real highlight with people regularly dancing on the tables etc.. brill !). http://obergurgl.com/main/EN/GG/WI/index.html I couldn't find/remember the hotel we stayed in but it was right in the centre of the village very close to the ski lifts ! I only have positive memories of the holiday and reckon that it was the best resort we went to (been to quite a few in total !). HTH.

There is as much chance of getting a statue of Ali Dia as there is of MLT at this moment in time ! Bridges need to be built between him and Cortese and there is no sign of that right now !

Pardew served us well when we needed it badly, his first season saw a major rebuild of the first team and the scouting system (I understand we actually didn't have one when he arrived!). The 'but' is, (and I'm sure that Cortese recognised this!) he wanted to run the club in his own image ! His single minded approach clearly differed from that of Nicola and Markus so there was an impasse ! Nigel is a natural 'team player' and has embraced the ML/NC philosophy, this harmony has borne fruit and can be seen in performance and results ! With the great benefit of hindsight, it is difficult to argue that Nicola made anything other than a good decision !!

The clear priority is to sign a quality CB ! The alternatives (as proposed on here!) should be last resort and only used during matches as emergency solutions !

The target is the Premier league ! The strategy is to build a solid foundation ! The mindset is to take each game as it comes ! The motivation is there ! The morale is high ! It's pretty clear to me that we are in good shape and see no need for Cortese to clarify or amend his long term (5 year!) plan !!!!
