I met Kevin Davies and Brett Ormerod in the player's lounge at Stamford Bridge after a game a few years ago (connections!)! They were both good lads and very chatty, I discussed the state of the pitch with Brett (it was muddy as hell that day!) and then turned to Kev and asked him how he felt he had coped with it ? Very politely, he advised me that, as he never got off the subs bench he hadn't a clue ! Must have thought I was a total prat (or taking the p*ss) as I had just watched the whole match minutes before!

Correct me if I'm wrong but have we not just witnessed one of the best team performances of the season to date and achieved a comprehensive win against one of our main rivals ?? Personally I could not pick out an MOTM and equally thought that nobody had a 'mare' ! Given this, I cannot understand why Guly is singled out for criticism, particularly as he supplied 2 quality assists out of our 4 goals !!

At the moment it is neither a 'best thing' nor a 'worst thing', it is just a 'thing' ! HTH

I cannot believe that China is being hailed as a 'socialist' success story ! Of the 1.3 billion inhabitants (estimates vary buy a few hundred million!) at least one billion are living in relative poverty and the gap between the rich and poor is enornmous. The political 'elite' is far more powerful and influential than any form of aristocracy around the world (with the probable exception of the UAE!). I know Cape Town pretty well and believe me, if you go to Gugulethu at night you are asking for trouble (bad enough in the daylight!). It is beyond comprehension that anybody staying at the Cape Grace hotel would not have been made aware of the risks ! Clearly one is innocent until proven guilty but I strongly feel that there is more to this than just a routine kidnapping and murder (if the SA authorities wanted to downplay the incident, they could have let it drop, this way it is in the worldwide press!)

When NC talked about those 'milking' the club, he said that, he had seen figures which proved it (words to that affect anyway) ! By this I assume that someone was previously being quite highly paid for 'ambassadorial services' ! This to me was his biggest clue and I know who I think it is but (obviously for reasons of libel!) I'm not saying !!

Like others, I have to say that this poll cannot give a true reflection of our views, it purely states a preference of sitting or standing ! Nowadays I am happy to sit peacefully in the Kingsland but actually feel quite strongly that a 'safe standing' area should be available to those who wish to use it ! It is not beyond the wit of man to have barriers and crowd limits which allow supporters to enjoy the match (and the atmosphere) which they pay for ! It really bugs me that the 'blazers' from the FA (and politicians) arbitralily decide that seating is the only safe way to watch a football match when most of them have only ever sat in the directors box ! Mods, please change the poll to a) I want all seater stadiums ! b) I prefer to have 'safe standing' areas in part of the stadium ! Although I am a confirmed 'sitter', I would vote b !

If NA feels that RL is not pulling his weight, there have been many occasions when he could have left him out (Shrewsbury and Cheltenham for starters) ! Many feel that he has been overly supportive of him, so it's a bit surprising that it's suddenly turned full circle ! Anyway I would just leave it to the manager as it's always his head on the block if we do not achieve success !
