Targett is good enough as second choice and we won't get better than him for that money. Concentrate on improving the areas that we can actually improve - centreback, striker, right back.
How exactly do we do that when we have players who are capable of winning trophies but they are poached at the earliest opportunity because of the unlevel playing field?
Honestly, watching Liverpool win the CL last night with a team assembled of players scouted and coached by other clubs who they then just threw money at has been one of if not the final nails in the coffin for me and top flight football.
A very tolerant, well reasoned argument that is sure to sway many people to your way of thinking. People love being generalised and insulted.

That's the key...challenging at the top is a non-starter now, so play entertaining football with players the fans can identify with and take the cups as seriously as possible, that's all the other 14 clubs can do.
Yeah, if we suddenly start handing out big contracts and huge transfer fees we need to know where this money is coming from and that we're not doing a Pompey and spending on a promise of future revenue.
Why are people saying it's dodgy??? Seemed obvious to me we would be getting a big deal from an Asian company that probably none of us knew anything about due to our new owners. If the club are saying it's the biggest sponsorship deal in our history well then that's a bloody good thing, finally pushing our commercial revenue in the right direction.

These have been the two most incredible semi finals I've seen and I've loved every second of it.
When the dust settles and the final comes round however, it's going to feel like Sophies Choice.

I can't help but think we'd be better off picking one location and using that time travelling as extra training instead.

If the FA and PL are not going to do anything about clubs pricing fans out of the game then they should really change their stance on streaming services. No reason why you can't sell "season tickets" for clubs that give you access to all their games on Sky on the red button or something like that.
