I'm sure there have been a few that stayed for a while but then left after a few seasons. In all honestly I don't expect players to stay forever - and I reckon many people feel the same - just that leaving after one good season is a kick in the guts.

When you actually look at the amount of ex-players that joined the staff under Cortese it kind of sh*ts on the theory that he wanted to erase our history. And yet here we are without Cortese and potentially one or two ex-players being sacked from their coaching roles.
