Yeah, only just saw them. My bad. "Noise from dome fans", jesus christ.

For the academy? Where I would assume players start with us from ages of around 6 upwards? Quite a few. Also, having more than a couple gives you the opportunity to train defenders, midfielders etc. seperately. In fact if you look at the plans above it lists the uses of the pitches - Under 9s/10s, U13s, and over 18s. One pitch is unlabeled though which I would assume is for the U18s.

Going to have to think long and hard about it myself, it's going to be a lot of money next season...

...this is a joke, right?

Have we reached top level pricing at St Mary's?

That's the thing though, this club is all about maximizing revenue in order to be as self sustaining as possible. So that £20,000,000 is a huge amount. -

Very good point, if I live in Southampton I'd probably go to the pub instead. -
Said when the squad was announced that he could feel a little hard done by given the lack of width. If there's a midfield pull out in that England squad, Lallana has surely got to be in line for a call up.

Don't think anyone's written him off really.

Sounds to me like my suspicions were correct and the quotes were false.

I'm guessing the club don't actually make any money bar booking fees on away tickets? From the financial point of view it's not worth the risk of having to pay for tickets we haven't sold.

After the amazing food I tried at Sunderland last season, it's pretty shoddy coming to St Marys and seeing the standard of food at nearly double their prices.

Guly wasn't getting booed, at all.
-
Absolutely, this is something I was saying all last season as well. He was the best LB in the league when we were promoted. Another point on Guly, behind Lambert and Lallana he had more goals and assists than any other player in our rise from league one. Something to think about.

Lovren and Fonte can easily keep an out of form Van Persie under control. Wanyama can muscle Rooney out of the game, and probably frustrate him enough to get him sent off eventually. Lambert will give an aging Rio a tough test. I'd be tempted to start Rodriguez up front with Lambert. Really hope he doesn't put Rodriguez in at the expense of Davis, he doesn't perform playing deeper.

I don't think his kicking is that bad, it's just when he tries to play a pin point pass out to a full back who's stood directly on the byline it's a bit tricky for him.
-
Was there? Any shirt pull was absolutely minimal from what I saw.
-
Indeed. He's scored a hattrick for England in a competitive game as well, something not a lot of people have done. My biggest disappointment is the fact he has been shoved out on the wing. He IS a striker, not that the rest of the country would know it, and if he is played on the wing his entire career he will never fulfill the potential he showed as a school boy for us.

Thanks.

That makes no sense. If his username was Paranoid or Paranoiac, then it would. But hypochondria has nothing to do with believing conspiracies or thinking everyone is out to get you. And anyway, he was right - not a single person on this thread thinks that Mike Dean disallowed the goal as part of some personal vendetta against SFC. Everyone just thinks that he realised almost straight away he'd cocked up the corner decision, didn't want to be seen to go back on it and then as the ball went into the net shat himself and gave a foul for the absolute slightest of contacts. Please do tell me where exactly we should look to find the foul that was given? I can see Lovren and Wanyama basically resting their hands on Swansea players arms, but if that's what we're giving as fouls now then there should be penalties given every single time the ball is in the box. It's just jostling for position, unless you suggest players keep their arms rigidly at their sides and just swing their bodies at each other like giraffes fighting over a female.

Well he definitely isn't a defensive midfielder. He's got the technique, he can strike a ball well and with precision, all he needs to learn is the composure and positioning to be able to hit the target.

Stand by my Frank Lampard comparison, has all the qualities of a goalscoring midfielder IMO. Important to remember that he is only 18.
