  1. This forum is dying. In the old day the trolls had a bit of class, now they're not even trying. Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express

  3. To be honest I suspect that teammate reaction is the primary reason for some not coming out - far more so than fan reaction. It only takes one person to poison a dressing room ("don't drop the soap" etc.) in a way that wouldn't ordinarily happen in an office job etc. On one level I support the principle, and I can't say whether people find the "Does your boyfriend" chant genuinely offensive. In my opinion, folical racism is the last bastion of prejudice in our country and I'm sure many a gay supporter has joined in the "look like a wotsit" chant. So where does it stop?
  4. I don't get why it's ridiculous. Firstly it prevents fraud by ensuring only adult tickets are bought by adults. Secondly it's fair. Your cousin shouldn't have more rights to an away ticket than someone who doesn't have an uncle with a ST. That may not be an issue away at 'Boro, but when we sell out, why should he /she have preference? Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
  5. If you have to explain it, then you've no right to romania. Genius. That almost made me spit coffee over my Thai.
  6. I think it's a bit sad that people feel the need to rail against Forecast. Like the vast majority of players he wasn't good enough for the big leagues. Players can show promise and then drop away for so many reasons (attitude, physical development, skill development, luck etc.). Forecast wasn't good enough, fine, but does he need it rammed down his throat by cyber warriors who probably struggle to understand the off side rule?
  7. I have some sympathy for the ticket office here. On one level the preferential treatment that we get as ST holders shouldn't be passed on and instead the ticket should roll over to general sale. Otherwise it's who you know, rather than first come, first served. I also suspect some bad apples have been buying a cheaper ticket than they were entitled to. Finally because everything is outsourced these days I suspect you talk to a call centre rather than the true ticket office. They are then following the rules of the contract to the letter, with no room for exceptions.. That said, it reflects badly on the club when cases like DaveFoggy's aren't dealt with flexibly. I can't believe that is the kind of customer care the club want to offer, so I suggest you write to the club directly. Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
  8. On one level you are right, I am sure that Billy would have liked to get some premier league game time. However, to do so would suggest that we should let emotion overrule the opinion of the manager. Fundamentally MP, and Adkins before him, made a judgement that Billy wasn't up to the Premier League - and to be honest, from the get go until the last 10 games, scoring wasn't a problem for us. It's not exclusive to football - markets change, roles change, requirements change, management changes - all can impact employees. As it happens for Billy he has a contract that pays X and he wants to protect that. He'll be paid by Southampton, or he could choose to accept less with someone else - if Saints can't reach an agreement with another club on a transfer or on wages that's a three-way equation. You can't expect Saints to take what they view as an unacceptable loss - otherwise we're running as a charity, equally Billy won't want to take a massive salary hit and the buying club won't want to pay a premium to buy out a longish contract. His best bet is to go on loan with Saints part subsidising his salary until such time that his contract runs down to a level that is affordable to another club. It's makes the equation better for all parties. On the flip side for Saints it means if someone comes in with a decent offer in January we can sell at an acceptable price. Either way he's not going to play in the Premiership for Southampton.
  9. Why the posting on a new thread when there are plenty of others dealing with tactics? Ahhh trolling. Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
  10. A plea. Please can we stop with the nicknames because it really paints the poster as close minded. e.g. Gashton, Pinnochia, Osvaldon't, W@nkyama, Chumpers - all very clever but a bit playground.
  11. Just watching Liverpool / Utd and it looks like (by Saintsweb logic) Moyes needs to go.... Is anyone else watching and, if so, can you only get Arabic commentary? I've tried switching between Audio 1 and Audio 2 but its Arabic either way (PC, running Chrome)
  12. Crap game today but I still hold hope he can deliver Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
  13. I think they had load problems today. Once I got in it was great but the login wouldn't work. Once I logged in on the Arabic site it was fine though.
  14. Thanks Corky. You can help my friend here. She needs £2000. Trust me it's true. Send your details to the below and she'll get in touch. sayinganddoingaretwodifferentthings@agentskeepdepositslandlordsgetbalance.com
  15. Lots of reasons for Adkins to choose Reading. He didn't need to move his family for one. But it will take a long time to convert their style from grit to Adkins' passing game. Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
  16. I blame marketing people. There's a role at my work as Head of Ideation..... #### knows what it is, but it pays well. Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express

  20. I am so glad you can derive so much meaning from one word. FWIW I am not sure I have ever used it before, it just popped into my head and seemed appropriate. Just like #ignorant**** did when reading your response... Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
  21. You could give a free blow job from Scarlet Johanson / Brad Pitt [delete/replace as applicable] with each season ticket and the haters would still hate. This is neither something to get excited or agitated about. Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
  22. Why? They make more money from individual seat sales, it's more effort to sell season tickets in season - what purpose does it serve? Agreed if you're a club that has debts, where money in the hand is important; for us that isn't an issue so sell individual seats and, if we do well, the club makes more cash.
