  1. They commented on the delay on TV. Personally I thought he was looking for the pass, rather than the player but doubt it'll be rescinded.
  2. If they'd stayed in at least it would have acted as a distraction....
  3. If I were Jack I'd be looking for regular first team football. Unlikely to get that, even if Morgan goes we'll likely get a solid replacement.
  4. It's only the same thing if you are a Pompey supporter..... ?
  5. Personally I hope Liverpool make the final after a gruelling 120mins plus penalties. It'll be more of a distraction as they make the run in. Then I can hope for a comedy own goal resulting from a Lallana / Lovern headbutt.
  6. If Clyne goes to Man Utd or Liverpool, I think it'll be a combination of wages and the fact that he doesn't believe he'll be able to manage the step up to the challenge of Champions League football...
  7. Jonno Quick. Two goals vs. MK Dons that kept our promotion chase alive. In terms of impact per minute he's got to be up there.
  8. Seeing as ManU are going to bid for Clyne in this window "to boost their Champions League hopes", I suggest we: - set a £50m price on him - submit a cheeky bid for De Gea as backup GK and Falcao (covering 10% wages) and Shaw (£5m)..... All to boost our CL aspirations.
  9. Yes, I wonder what have could have prompted such short sighted thinking.... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2009/apr/02/southampton-leisure-holdings-administration

  11. Suggest discounting this http://sashesandtashes.co.uk/index.php/english/80-s-scouser-tracksuit.html heavily with a Season Ticket will help develop the Kop end you're craving. Seriously though, I think splitting up the choir for cup matches is detrimental to the atmosphere. Having said that, if you move the away fans then normal home atmosphere would be affected because some home fans choose to be close to the away fans for "c'mon then, 'ave some" goading and occasional "wahhh, tosser" hand signals. i.e. Move them to the Itchen / Northam corner - no go because of boxes. Move them to the Kingsland / Northam corner - removes a chunk of better view seats from home fans. Move them to Kingsland Centre - as above, also health and safety concerns over blankets and hot chocolate. It is, I am afraid, an impossible dream. Perhaps only if serious work was done on the stadium (that requires a wholesale reshuffle will it become possible). Newcastle's approach is best - stick the away fans as high up and far away as possible....
  12. ...but if a pass has been made and blundered, then bad luck. You're not meant to have the advantage twice. I too think the ref and Lin (Kingsland) had a mare. That said he applied advantage well IMHO.
  13. Our lot? Bad form if true. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/ched-evans-mask-yobs-condemned-4919271 Personally I feel I you've done the time then society should let you reintegrate but that doesn't mean you should be glorified.
  14. Paul Telfer and Jermaine Wright were both honest utility players who did a good job for Saints. Anyone who says otherwise is forgetting it's a squad game. Saints fans have two blind spots in my opinion; lack of appreciation of holding midfielders (Oakley is a good example) and an over appreciation of players that fist pump / clap the crowd / whose hair resembles Jesus (Ostlund and Prutton tick all of those boxes). At the end of the day, the manager picks a player to play a role based on what he has available. As long as that player puts a shift in, I am generally happy. Those declaring that someone is **** / not fit for the shirt / like Ali Dia, are probably 22st couch potatos who couldn't do any better.
  15. It's a joke when you see the Routledge sending off (soft, yet correct) that something like Sterlings face push goes unpunished. Bizarre interpretation of consistency.
  16. With Gerard, they have a choice as a club. They don’t have to sell. They have that choice. Maybe Liverpool's objectives have changed. They were on course to be a *Champions League club, I believe, but, obviously, that has changed.... Back at ya Brenda....
  17. Apparently part of the deal we made with Arsenal when they signed Morgan for us was that he'd have to miss a certain number of games against them through suspension. MS is just keeping to the letter of the contract.
  18. First home game after Christmas is always quiet. Full of gift getters who don't know the form.

I fear you may be carrying the prejudice of prior opinions. He was solid today against top quality opposition.
  20. I'm more worried that his toes have been amputated - clean though. Should be able to sew back on - but likely out for 6 weeks or so.
  21. Essential we win that to close the gap
  22. There are some things that the world doesn't need.... https://cdn.balr.com/image/cache/data/BALR-Blazer-front-600x600.jpg
  23. The problem with t'internet is that any monkey with a keyboard can aspire to be Woodward or Bernstein. Unfortunately their definition of investigative reporting is to read yesterday's reports, regurgitate (preferably with a capitalised words in the title, "Why Arsenal MUST sign this EXPLOSIVE midfielder") and repeat. Before you know it a rumour started in a bedroom in Bolton has 25 articles reinforcing it. Honestly, if it wasn't for porn, I'd hate the internet....
  24. The wheels aren't off but this thread proves that some of our fans have a screw loose. We've played well bar Burnley and SU despite injuries and suspensions; all with key players who are new to the PL's pace and intensity. Having said that, it's always good to identify the bed wetters, when we're winning you forget who they are.
  25. As much as it irks me, they're playing well this season - far more variety, mixing up BFS' industrial side with Sheringham's attacking guile. That plus some very positive signings. I couldn't stand them in our shared promotion season for a number of grudges; 1) Kevin Nolan's persistent keeper bumming, 2) The blindness to Sharp being fouled (it happened, no matter how much he reacted; get over it) 3) Their denial that they were playing Route 1 4) The Sheffield United / Tevez incident. 5) BFS is a tool. 2, 3 and 4 will fade into the past but 1 and 5 will be ever thus. However, I can't deny they're playing well and deserve to be up there. As someone says on their forum there are tools on every forum - certainly on theirs as there are some that are praising Turkish's level headed insight!! WTF!
