I've never been a fan of a lot of coaches methods of running players into the ground.
You need to have the ball at your feet as much as possible.
One thing that needs to change at grass roots is this. Less focus on fitness and more on touch and technique. Less 'Get rid of it' and more passing.
We put our young kids into 11 a side, with the offside rule, full size goals etc at the age of 10! Thats ludicrous!! They need the ball at their feet as much as possible.
In my opinion, that's the most important part of training, having the ball at your feet. Glad to see Saints doing it.
