Pleased to say I was listening to it on the radio....whilst having sex. Genuinely.

I think Chaplow probably adds more in the changing room than on the pitch. He's clearly popular with a good head on his shoulders. He won't feature too much but will still be influential in other ways.

Can see it being a draw. Really hope Lambert steps it up a bit. Would be interesting to see Jarvis play. I really wanted us to sign him and it seems we once had an interest. I think him and Clyne would have been perfect together. How many do we expect for the attendance? I'd guess around 7-8k

This is why I love about twitter. Makes some reporters look stupid

Trying to work out if you're joking or just stupid

Still the loudest roar I've ever heard

I didn't see the last thread that was like this either. Apart from the keeper, I think our current defence looks better and we're likely to improve. (M.Svensson was injured pretty much all season) Midfield is hard to judge. And again, we are likely to strengthen here anyway. What concerns me is the srikers. Although I really rate our current strikers. The forward line we had in 2005 was quite something. All proven Premier League strikers with bags of goals. Except for Crouch I guess but he was on fire with us and went on to big things. Our current front line could thrive but could just as easily struggle.

Think he means this.... -
I don't think anyone would disagree with you that they'd like to have banter, fun and get occasional news but it becomes very tiresome having to trawl through endless posts by a few baiting others for a reaction (which they sadly achieve)

I think taking into account many different factors, the figure is good. However I think the club could have done a little more which would have pushed it closer to 25k. Things like putting them on sale earlier and cashing in in a feel good factor as well as leaving them on sale for a little longer. If we go on to sign an exciting player or 2, that could have sold more. That said, the club will make more if they sell tickets to people on a match by match basis.

1. They get quoted anyway 2. The issue isn't only seeing their posts, its the way it's dragged off subject/hijacked. 3. We shouldn't really have to

This. I'd love to see her back home. Probably cost too much though

Agreed. Or give these 'forum personalities' their own little forum to continue their d1ck waving competition. I keep thinking 'it's fine, when the season starts they'll be okay' but I can't see it.

Thanks MLG again for a little bit of info I would have otherwise missed without you posting it. A good marker and also shows how hard it will be to get a ticket for the non STHs.

Whats the longest drawn out transfer we've had that actually signed. I can only think of Skacel, this one must be getting close

Would do well there, not been treated well at Liverpool. Doubt it will happen though

Went there on Friday. Good curry but that's about it. The Italian section is a joke, they didn't even have pasta and the pizza was terrible. Great place for a big group though

Love Southampton and glad I've moved back. Traffic lights are a nightmare. We need to make more of the waterfront especially from Ocean Village and Mayflower park and redo the pier. Plans that seem to come out all look impressive and exciting but they never happen

I look forward to Neil Allen claiming him as theirs.
