Was googling while munching on my Bacon butty.. and found this... Yikes Question - How many Saints Players scored PL hat-tricks? Answer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Premier_League_hat-tricks

Anderlecht home, Cup Winners Cup 2nd leg in the mud. The (East I think) German referee. Was quite a well known figure.. damned if I can remember his name though But the abuse and hatred out of the terraces that night was something I'll never forget. Him & Bailey make many of the other names suggested on here look like cuddly Pantomime Villains in comparison (Although a special "Frozen Pitch moaning c*** mention goes to Bailey's manager the year we turned over Everton. Big Ron was it?) hell I gotta stop thinking of work all the time, it's screwing with my footie memory

OK they drew with us up there, but Charlton were woeful. Chaplow had a headless chicken day so replace him with Stephens and maybe more of our passes might reach our players. Guly really did not look like a RM player up there and the Diamond wasn't effective until he came off yet by many reports we didn't actually play badly in that set up. So what to do? Start with Guly or give Forte his first full run-out. Think he'll go with Guly as Forte still won't be fully match fit yet and more likely to have an impact again against a tiring defence. If he's up to it would start with Jaidi, and also ask whether Butters sub was tactical or a slight knock ...........................KD...................... Butters....Fonte............Jaidi.......Harding ..................Hammond...................... ..........Guly...........Stephens ............. ................Lallana.......................... Lam...............................bert ..............Barnard......................

Ah confiscating mobile phones. What a wonderful life choice that is for a job. Tiger Woods himself asked me to stop people using their phones and taking pictures. I reckon I got around 10 IPhones and 7 Blackberries on the first day I applaud Teachers who want desire and that whole Adrenalin rush of that "Oi give that to me" moment It is so more rewarding than working for a living And when they said no? Oh how I enjoyed that moment - you see my friend Mr Plod? - he wil deport you tomorrow and destroy your life. Oh how we laughed in the bar afterwards. Hell all that power. Maybe I will come back to blighty and sit in a classroom full of the unwashed and uncaring, just to get that buzz again

I ain't a great googler, but surely I seem to recall that at some point Sultan Bin Trump told the world that his adventure with the few had cost him 5mil? And also, how does his position with the fans tie in with Wiki which says Now call me old fashioned I've had a couple of Zubrowka's and watched he's not The Messiah He's a very Naughty Boy but I struggle to find any consistency here Anyone help me out?

Someone once said to me You can teach managers to manage But you cannot teach Leaders to inspire. Seems to me watching him from afar that he has never really understood that the people he works with need Leadership rather than "being told how he did things" Compare Ince to LM? No contest LM had many faults but he got players to play for him, I just think he w(Ince) as too much in the Hoddle (no offence Dalek) category hwere he was always trying to make numpties into versions of him with "Oh FFS let me show you what I mean" Simply IMHO he was a Rupert who knew it all. Jeez, one or two on here wanted him at different gaps in our timeline to this moment. Phew. Incey - go away and reflect on WHY you keep getting the sack. (oops sorry mutual agreements) Then you might become a good manager.

He's not the Messiah, he's just a very naughty boy. Well this one threw me. A Royal Albert Hall Opera version of The Life of Brian. It utterly cannot and does not work on any level. Eric Idle in the lead with walk on surprise guest parts. The story being re-worked and sung with a full blown OTT BBC Orchestra Choir & Soloists. You say to yourself "It isn't any good", I have to turn the sound up because I can't hear the words the Soloists are singing. Betty Palin reads a 30 second intro It is just very very wrong. You ask yourself WTF were any of this lot thinking. And yet at the end you realise. It is just totally, completely and utterly SILLY, and by the end I was singing along and hooting with laughter with the tears rolling down the cheeks, at the entire Silliness of it. Honest to God I really don't know if I should give it -5/10 or 15/10 But what I do know is that this evening I fancied something silly, and to give them their due the Boys delivered. If your are under the age of 40 you probably think I am totally nuts, if you were a Python fan you may think Nooooooo. But if you like Silly Get a few tinnies down the neck, kick the lass out and you may just think it works in it's own silly way. hell, I loved it it ain't my thing but yes 15/10

Some numpty at Emirates Airlines decided it would be a really great idea to install systems that allow people to use mobiles while on long haul flights. 8 hours of hello hello, yes I am now over Iraq, it is really interesting I can see clouds, yes I am having the fish.... And as for the phone in a school? I must be getting really really old, I sortta thought that a class room at school was for learning in, not for checking your facebook. Shows how bright some kids are - hello - if you don't learn how to reed or rite u kant yuse a mo Bile

I have been inspired by this. I will now seek out new ways to get a closer up view and see if I can come up with around 10 different ways of watching paint dry over the coming weeks

Goal keeper in "Beaten by a Deflection Shocker" Quite a few more respected posters had a dig on here at KD about his being beaten. Yet NA and the press reports tell us it came off Butters foot. TBH the day that a Goalkeeper starts to check his angles so that he can cover a shot AND a deflection...... Just shows that in football what you see or what you hear isn't always what happened. More worryingly, why did all our at the match reporters and Solent crew forget to tell us who was at fault for their first goal. NA clearly blames ONE player for not doing his marking job, yet no attempt to find who that player was and then criticise him and dig at him in the way that many have (WRONGLY in this case)had digs at KD Oh and it's all on the OS in NA's reaction if you need a link to find that WTF are you doing on this forum?

Saints sign 21 year old Dale Stephens on loan - official
dubai_phil replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Shame though that we seem to be linked with some extremely promising 16 & 17 year old players that we have to pay for to replace them -
Dear Mr Jaidi Thankyou for your application for Strictly Come Dancing this year. Having reviewed your application and photograph our Judges felt that whilst your footwork and balance shows promise, you still need to work on your deportment and, to put it simply, your face. We thankyou for your application and wish you well in the coming year. As we have a mainly family audience, we simply cannot afford to scare the living sh1t out of them. Yours Brucie Baby

Who very rarely appears on a match day thread. Look, there have been mongs on forums since the innernet was invented. S4E used to have some ridiculous numbers of members on line and posting. Over the years those wrist slitters have driven away many many good posters and far more real fans who popped in to see what was going on at the club and to get a sense of the opinions held by others. There has never been any point in argueing with them they go on and and until you are abused off here or you lose the will to live. We have had a zillion threads about it, many of them possibly have miserable lives and many of them may need help, a lot may just be ANTS (we had a thread on that) The thing is us regular match day threaders know this and have developed our own in-jokes and irony. 0-2 down we type NA Out FFS. First touch goal NA is a legend. That thread is our real connection to the game, it is by nature emotive, the point of it is our thoughts and emotions during the match, but the POINT is that it has now reached a level where we look forward to Alps joining us. Call it our "going down to get a pint before the end of the first half" match day experience. The majority of us laugh WITH the mongs now, we simply found it keeps the blood pressure down and also allows the thread to stay focused on the game. Some of course, we simply ignore, like today - Deppo got ignored Deppo taking on the wrist slitters - hahaha he won again

Ah humour, some people see it, some people get it and others.. One of the enjoyable things about the match thread is how it has developed it's own little world of in jokes, going back to the days of SNSUN lumping his Parrot through the Camel Toes & the Nuns. The fact that our lucky mascot was missing today, he as been an absolute rock in the past weeks, Alps pops up, moans and wallop goal for Saints. And Deppo, the uber joker being mistaken for the uber happy clappy. In actual fact his attempt at entering his usual reverse logic humour simply didn't work today. Think on Tuesday's match thread we better post a health warning on the OP. "Warning This Thread may contain moments of Attempted Irony" or "Politically Incorrect Images". Such a broad brush statement to have made, some people. Well in response, I heard some Saints fans on the commentary groaning early in the first half, I also heard them booing when Forte came on and heard groans & boos at half time.

Lol I will admit I was in such a state of shock, I sit here 2 hours or so after it finished & realise I still haven't finished my 2nd half pint of Old Thumper! I was sort of oh wow, think I fancy some Fish & Chips and went and cooked it. GF wasn't that happy as I was befuddled I forgot to make her anything and youngest was like Oh Dad where's my plate so had to go back and cook some more. It seems the we're doomed approach in the build up and match thread is the way to go though, have been using it ever since I (and others) went all OTT for the Walsall game. Sounds like the crowd got up for it and the players switched back into playing by emotions not by plans for a while in the 2nd half and whoosh something magical happened. Only read up to post 68 so expect some will say still not firing, but hell, happy to stutter all the way to 2nd place right now. Bring on Tuesday - the time difference is only +3 hours now so an almost early night for once!
