  1. Gooooallllll!!!
  2. This argument had gone around for years and in my opinion you are wrong. There are many reasons for not wanting to be in the Premier League and also many why football is more enjoyable outside of it. I'd list some but as you never go to games you wouldn't really understand so it's a waste of my time.
  3. Toney gets in some dangerous positions and looks a threat but he is wearing gloves in the middle of May so if it's all the same I'd rather we didn't sign him.
  4. Isn't he just. Hopefully he'll drop one in the net and lose them the game.
  5. If there's one thing the BBC love it's talking about the BBC.
  6. Good news that. Cheers.
  7. As the writer of the Echo article in the first post will remember the Maple Leaff was a decent regular drinking spot before games at the Dell. Since the move to St Mary's we regularly used the Eagle, the Alex, Varsity (never liked it, no idea why we went there) and then Rockstone. Pity that 5 Rivers closed during lockdown, great food in there for a post match curry.
  8. Will be hilarious to see their fans reaction if that does happen, especially as Arsenal were so far behind them not that long ago.
  9. The hipsters favourite team? What does that even mean? With the quality of their squad I wouldn't expect many managers would get them finishing much higher.
  10. Is that photo taken outside a football teams training ground then? Personally I think if you don't like the 5 second gesture then it's best to just ignore it. They'll stop soon anyway, it's not as if it will be carrying on forever.
  11. I think Potter is decent. He has Brighton playing pretty well at times they just have utter dross up front and seem worse than us for missing chances when on top during a game. I think it would be interesting to see him at a bigger team with better players to see if he can take his career to the next level.
  12. Delaney would be a good fit and crucially has bags of experience, fits our style and has a good mentality. I would be extremely happy if he signed.
  13. Surely that's the final picture from a triple save he made where he was tipping one around the post like prime Oblak?
  14. Nope, all correct. Niemi is the best keeper I have seen at Saints along with Flowers.
  15. Weirdly it hit a low of exactly £30k and has since rebounded to nearly £40k in 5 hours. Governments don't like it because it takes their power over finances away. It's obviously hugely volatile and will be until there's some sort of regulation which will probably come at some point.
  16. Did nothing at all last night. Get rid.
  17. Bielsa is vastly experienced and pretty much singlehandedly introduced a new style of football which is mimicked by clubs the world over. He is superior to the vast proportion of managers. There's no disgrace in losing to him. Many better managers than Hasenhuttl have been doing so for years.
  18. That's analogy doesn't work because it should conclude with them both vomiting on my flower bed. How did the other neighbour cut the grass if the first one had his car parked on it?
  19. Back home now. We played well for about 60 minutes and then paid the price for not scoring when we were on top. I really enjoyed being back in the stadium with a reasonable number of people there. Was so nice to be able to watch a live game. Stewarding was relaxed, they barely even checked my ticket and didn't look at the kids ones at all. It's not just on here that Redmond gets unfair abuse either. 89 minutes gone and he smashes one over the bar from the edge of the area and loads of people start moaning at him. One minute later Ings smashes one well wide from a similar position and people clap him.
  20. Difference with a lot of those sports is that they were never banned from playing for years and have been supported by consistent funding. Women's football was left floundering for decades. It's only been in more recent times that it's been supported properly, firstly in the US and some of Europe and more latterly around the world. They obviously won't have the skill men do at the top level because they've largely not had the structure to achieve it. Give it 20 years and their game will have improved a hell of a lot. Also, any proper pro woman footballer would run rings around your Dog and Duck players. I did some FA coaching badges years ago and was taught by Sue Lopez, her touch and passing was miles ahead of anyone else I have ever played with.
  21. The Cat

    Danny Ings

He's only scored 2 goals in 25 games since Boxing Day. Even some of our players who get slated on here have scored more than that. I'm sure they'll be looking to see who is available this summer.
  22. Maybe Armstrong was taken off early against Fulham so he can start again tomorrow. I know Hasenhuttl has mentioned before that he struggles to play 3 games in a week but he's so important to us that I really hope he starts. No doubt they are confident. Beat us easily last time and are coming off the back of a good win. We should be in for an exciting game.
  23. Bournemouth is always funny so we can laugh at their fans getting overexcited about playing us but I'd like to see Brentford having a turn. Whether we would even have the ability to sign Henry if they don't go up is debatable anyway.
  24. Wouldn't mind Barnsley, I'm quite a fan of away games to small Northern towns. I'm not sure any of the 4 play off teams will put up much of a fight next season without a lot of investment. Do any of them have much money?
  25. If you don't like it why not just ignore it? It's what, 5 seconds out of your day? It will probably stop at the end of the season anyway regardless of whether people boo or not.
