  1. They sell Brewdog beer now and a decent US IPA.
  2. Bedford Place/London Road is best for bars. Avoid Leisure World at all costs.

    Shane Long

I knackered mine while celebrating at QPR on Saturday and I'll be fine for Wednesday.
  4. Pedestrian At Best by Courtney Barnett [video=youtube;o-nr1nNC3ds]
  5. Swervedriver are back
  6. West Ham have a bit of a CB crisis. Another injury or 2 today would be nice.
  7. I went flying. F.ucking ribs are killing me today after I landed front first on some seats about 5 rows down. Added to that I massively ripped the crotch of my jeans so ended up in agony with my pants hanging out. Wouldn't swap it for anything.
  8. My ribs are still hurting after I fell down the steps celebrating in the top tier and ended up laying on the floor behind a rather grumpy looking bloke who was with his son. Lighten up mate, we just scored an injury time winner. No idea about the rest of the game because I was pretty hammered but not a lot seemed to happen. Annoyingly I was sat on the train back with a reasonable Pompey supporting family who said they admired what Saints are doing this season. I'm now confused. And drunk. Also some Spurs fans who going back to Bognor and gave me beer. OK, bye.
  9. I'm getting off at Clapham, a couple in the Falcon then overland to Shepherd's Bush for a few more around Goldhawk Road.

    Drink?

Most of the people that argue or wind people up on here don't go to games so sadly that's unlikely.
  11. I hope Clint Hill plays. Elia and Mane would make him look a complete carthorse and he'd end up getting himself sent off.
  12. I agree. Plus we'd have won the Championship if he was in the team. Yes we got promoted, but I just want to see us win a bloody trophy other than the sodding JPT. Personally I don't clap or boo any of them. I might laugh at them if they fall over, miss an easy shot or misplace a pass but that's it.
  13. Adam Buxton's BUG is back for some online shows. First episode here on the BFI website: http://player.bfi.org.uk/film/watch-bug-episode-1-2015/
  14. Well trained officers, the resources available to the department. Hampshire also have a specialist interview team supported by the National Crime Agency.
  15. Which is why my point about Hampshire being better about recording sexual offences than other forces is important.
  16. There's a disgusting number of sexual crimes committed every day. I get to see some stats at work and am continually surprised by the amount of them. Whether the frequency exclusive to this region or not I couldn't say but there are some truly nasty, scummy blokes out there. One thing to take into account is that different forces are better than others in recording certain types of crime. I believe Hampshire are very good in this area which could explain any discrepancy in stats compared to other places.
  17. I heard the crowd cheering from where I was bit couldn't work out what was going on. As an aside I heard tonight that an old chap had a heart attack in the Dell bar before the game. Stewards, St John's and a cardiac nurse who happened to be in there administered CPR and saved him. By the time the ambulance got there he was brought round and talking. He had a clot in his artery and surgeons have put in a stent and he's fine now. Well done to everyone involved.
  18. We are going to Green Man. Normally go to End Of The Road but it's got too expensive. I don't like the bigger festivals, been to plenty in my time but not now. Common People will probably be decent as it has good organisers behind it but the line up is a bit meh so far.
  19. We got in loads of pubs by not wearing colours last time.
  20. There's loads of pubs around Shepherds Bush. There's even a Brewdog pub on Goldhawk Road.
  21. There's loads there for kids to do, they could never get bored. Hopefully the Flying Seagulls will be back. They're a charity who spend all summer touring festivals to make enough money to head off to small villages in poor countries and entertain kids there. We've seen them at a few festivals and they are amazing. More than likely you'll spend a good proportion of your days being just as entertained by them as the kids will be. http://www.theflyingseagullproject.com/

Essruu wouldn't have a clue who Wilco are so it certainly ain't him.
  23. Nice. I'll be getting our tickets soon. How old are your kids? Ours are 9 & 6. They've been to plenty of festivals but last year's Green Man was their favourite. We did the whole week and it was well worth it. Bands every evening, games for kids to play and the chance to explore the Beacons. There's also a quality pub in the next village whose selection of ales and burgers nearly matches the Rockstone. We'll do the same again this year.

    Highway to hell

I only use the toll if I'm running late, for example Stoke away in the cup this year. Otherwise I'll happily sit in traffic for an extra 30 minutes convincing myself I've somehow won by avoiding having to pay.
  25. No doubt his hoards of 12yo followers on twitter will be lapping up such originality.
