They were average before we scored, then not a peep until their goal went in but loud after that. I couldn't understand half of it.

Saints 1 Manchester Utd 1 - Post Match Reaction

Does anyone on here know the bloke that ran on the pitch to celebrate with Lambert? -
Loads of players were waving. On that basis we'll be left with about 3 players from today's squad.
-
Sadly he'll probably be back under another login soon enough.

My son waited for some autographs before the game and said "bye bye" to Guly, who grinned and said thanks. His time at Saints has coincided with the best period a lot of fans have known, or at least a period in which we've consistently been winning more games than at any other time. I will remember him fondly and wish him all the best.

So what proof do you have? Because it better be ****ing good if anyone is going to believe it over what Lallana's Dad has said.

Please **** off Barry.

Well that was an amazing season. Massively proud of all the players and management for producing such great football and results with a relatively small squad. We put in a decent performance today, especially until they scored their goal. Good to see the vast majority of supporters stay behind to give the players a clap and cheer on their lap of appreciation. Would have liked it if there had been a highlights of the season package on the screens while we were waiting rather than more dodgy music over the PA. Roll on next season. -

I've seen the name David Bick linked with leaking the stories. Whether he's doing it on Cortese's behalf, who knows.

Very pleased for them. Good news that Saints will be letting them show off the trophy tomorrow too.

I'd like to see us get to a cup final while continuing to produce more first team players from the youth set up. I'd also like the Academy to sign my 8yo son and begin his development into a world class goalkeeper.

Me too. I remember him playing some neat, first time cushioned passes in tight areas that immediately showed the talent and awareness he had at such a young age. That was before he had skinned a full back with the type of pace and skill that excited everyone so much in Walcott's first few games. Very pleased for Gallagher, looking forward to seeing him develop into a regular Premier League starter over the coming seasons.

Oh and anyone going to Glastonbury really needs to see Royal Blood. [video=youtube;-_3mNCaJgNM]

I went to this Metallica gig when I was 17. Was completely nuts.

Oh yeah, of course there's enough for a weekend but I expect more from a festival that size and having Kasabian as the Sunday headliner is akin to starting to tidy your house when you want the guests to leave after a party. To be honest I can't be arsed with the size of the place. Jumped the fence a couple of times in the 90's and had a decent enough time but it's not for me. I much prefer smaller festivals like Green Man and EOTR. As for Metallica, yeah they will put on a good show but like many bands still going after years are now like a tribute band to themselves. Some of their later albums are complete dross. Hopefully they'll play loads of stuff from Kill Em All and Master of Puppets to confuse the crowd, plenty of whom will be just waiting for Enter Sandman. I just heard Michael Eavis on 6Music justifying their presence by saying people who go to Glastonbury are always asking him when Metallica are going to play (hmm) and that they have a history of metal bands because Hawkwind and Rage Against The Machine have both played. So that's 2 bands n what 40 years, neither of which are metal!

I know that's probably not the full line up, but there's a right load of toss on it. John Peel would be turning in his grave if he knew Kaiser Chiefs were headlining his stage.

Is it Portswood Domestics, you know, the place that always has loads of fridges lined up on the pavement?

Interesting stuff on WSC about this, also links to an article from 2007 on the German model which states no one is interested in the B teams. http://www.wsc.co.uk/wsc-daily/1177-may-2014/11441-germany-s-b-teams-have-damaged-lower-league-clubs Someone's also started a petition against it: http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/the-football-association-say-no-to-b-teams
