This is is exactly it and it's why I'm not too bothered. RK MO all along has been what is best for his long term vision of his career and it makes absolute sense to go to Everton at this point. He gets another grace period that he wouldn't get at SFC and he can improve them and the big wage packet just helps to underpin his big reputation, it ticks all the boxes in his quest for the Barca job. I'm under no illusion that we can get a manger that will bleed red and white, but it would be nice to have someone who isn't insistent on carving out a path somewhere else. But if we were good for RK, he was good for us; he steady the ship in our summer melt down and has left us in a better position and with a season of European football to enjoy. I don't like it that he's left, but I'm excited about the next guy and just hope he is as good as the last couple of managers and I hope he is a bit more committed to us and I really hope those two things are not mutually exclusive.

At no stage did I say they should spend up big to chase the big boys so what about the bit where you said 'whats the point of owning an EPL team if all you are going to do is avoid debt'. You are an idiot because you believe that only a club that spends loads are showing ambition. Yet you choose to ignore all the other aspects that Southampton have been doing to try and underpin their chances of success; like the academy facilities, recruitment process, well defined strategy for progress, great manager recruitment, wage level commensurate with our income and size. We are in the best position we have been for years, we have top players in every position and have had the best two finishes since the 80's, we are in the group stages of Europe for the first time ever and all this with hardly any debt so the club remains in a strong position to keep pushing on. We have ambitions to do the best we can and we have clearly demonstrated this by the countless incremental improvements all over the club, the club has ambition and you can't deny that. But ambition to you guys is just a euphemism for spending big so what you are really arguing with is the method that the club are employing to get there, ours is a steady sustainable progress where as what you want is the big bang and it appears you are going to ***** and moan about it because they are not doing what you want, whaaa whaaa whaaa. It seems that Koeman wants the big bang as well, but he doesn't want it for the good of the club he wants it to enhance his reputation for a bigger and better job. He can **** off and do that at Everton. and eelpie if you think Koeman is not going to stay now because someone has been nasty to him on the internet, then grow up.

When does the debt get paid back, this season or ten years time, but then won't you be screaming that we have lost our ambition. What you want is for us to chase the the big boys by spending more than we can afford and what you really want is for someone else to pay for out of their own money. It appears that we did, the owners wanted the debt brought down. We have now done that and incidentally notched up two if our best finishes. Keep this team together with a few changes and we could call it a good summer. I'm looking forward to next season, marry the defence of 2014-15 with the attack of 2015-16 and we could see us topping our points again. Happy days indeed.
