Very good, going down the divs have shown that we aren't the small club it was possible to percieve in the prem. Our attendance had held up well, of course it helps coming a very close second.

There are Saints fans everywhere, I have had three jobs in the last ten years all in South East London/West Kent and in all of them there has been a Saints fan in my department. When at uni the first person I sat next to at the first lecture when we had to introduce ourselves was a Saints fan. I've seen Saints tops in West Kingdown, at David Lloyd at Kings Hill and Maidstone to name a few, Saints badges on cars in Crayford, on an electricians van in Maidstone and on a car park in Police Station Road West Malling. The only Pompey top I've seen locally was on a guy rodding the drains of McDonalds on the A20 near Foots Cray. It warms the heart everytime I see a flash of the badge and I get a bit excited, to the point that when arriving back in Southampton I have to have a word with myself that its not so strange to see the badge a few miles from St Marys.

When the prize is the Premiership dosh (the parachute money alone) then a few hundred grand has got to be worth it.

Don't knock it, it worked for us this season. However I do agree with the OP, get in there early and secure your targets. You may have to pay them a few more weeks wages (small change in the scheme of things Mr Lowe) but you can then get on with the business of preparing the squad. Reading bagged Leroy Lita on day one of the summer window and stormed the Championship.

For every ridiculous negative comment there was a ridiculous positive comment and 90% of them posted by you. All your positivity had no empirical basis so you were just as ill informed, just because we were promoted doesn't make you right.

13 of the last 18 teams promoted to the NPC are still there or in the prem, so I suspect the gap is doable.

To those of us in Kent the highlights on TFLS will be a bit earlier so no more falling asleep and waking up dribbling when its all over.

I was sure we would draw one of Brentford and Plymouth, so to smash both games and to go up under our own steam is brilliant. The boys have worked so hard this season but it would be good to get one last win and break into the ninety points, the boys can then go on holiday and NA can go shopping.

I think for Huddersfield to not get anything after the shift they have put in would be a shame. I would like to see Bournemouth go up however I think Huddersfield deserve it.

Plymouth seem to be the place to gain promotion, us this season (every thing crossed and touching wood), Newcastle last year and I was down there a few years back when Brighton won promotion. But I feel for Plymouth because we were there a few years back, it seems they need to get things sorted of the pitch first.

This cheers me up, its great to see that good spirit in the camp.
