Could this be as good as Lawrie from Grimsby.
-
More 'oh well' than 'wow', but I am happy to welcome him aboard and wish him (them) luck. Two questions; 1. Who was the Wow candidate we didn't manage to land. 2. How long will it be before Alpine starts slating him in every post, I give it a week.

I remember this too, was jealous. But I also remember thinking what would I have say to the players if it was me and ended up being glad it wasn't, oh the joys of being an awkward 11 year old.

Its completely Lowesque trying to reinvent the English football club, whether the reluctance to change is right or wrong it is apparent that the process of change is very distruptive and nearly impossible.
-
All you are saying is Paul Lambert was possibly better, that doesn't prove anything. No one has any idea how minus 10 points would have affected Norwich.

I know NC wants to think outside the box but Mariah Careys ex is stretching it a bit. I know he will be great at dealing with the media and deva players but what can he bring to the table tactically and does he have the indepth knowledge of Div 1 we need.

It will be so sh1t it will be annouced at 11.30 pm this Friday.

Did we cash in the Bale SOC when we were skint like we did with the Walcott one.

Few rumours and rumblings...
Fan The Flames replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
A driver with the pizza firm involved told a friend of mine, so I might be true or not I don't know, make of it what you will. I heard that NC had AP locked in a tower in a forest and that a looky-likey had been installed since the pre-season. Unfortunately AP built a set of steps from the sloppy Giuseppe's pizza boxes NC sent his food in and escaped so NC had to sack him to get him to sign a confidentiality clause. -
We got him for £30,000, peanuts indeed, must be one of the best value for money signing ever.

Boycotts = guilt free non-attendance

Maybe people should just be left to make up their own minds, after all singing is democratic, if you don't like a song drown it out with something else.
-
Apparently NC texted AP to ask why Guly didn't play a larger part of the game against Bristol Rovers, this then caused the row that ultimately lead to the sacking.
-
Just heard 5Live, very interesting. They nutshelled it regards the sacking; a row over Guly. The new manager will be a bit wow. Also the canvassing of Phil Brown; Saints are a big club, a challenge any manager would like, I get on very well with Les Reed.

http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/argusgeneralsportsnews/8369642.Axed_Saints_boss_pulls_on_his_boots_for_charity/? AP playing in a charity match at Three Bridges on Sunday, maybe worth popping along if your are in the area.

It's because they are not convened in secret that allows people to know about them before details has been issued to the press, hence the possibility of someone knowing and texting their mate before it has officially been announced.
-
My mate believes Frank Farina is in with a shout.

But who owns Sky, the same geezer that owns The Sun, so that leaves 20 secs of BBC coverage. Also I doubt that Scott bloke will be able to pull of a sponsorship of the type you have mentioned.

Ireland isn't in the British Isles just like London isn't Londres.
-
The Mirror don't carry Southampton stories at all at the moment. I see the Sun gets the basic facts wrong in the article.

Maybe he is buying a new suit or a Saints tie for the interview.

There is such resistance in England by the collective of managers to change the way clubs are managed. In a way you can't blame the managers they are judged and sacked on the performance of the players. But on the other hand their resistance to change is as much about protecting their position and worth.

Does the Transfer Committe purchase players for the first team or do they just concentrate on finding talent for the academy.

The sports editor of the echo didn't seem to be towing the club line on TalkSport the other day.
