  1. They were a good side last season and I believe that their position in the league will improve. They were quick and passed the ball very well, forced us to paly the long last season away.
  2. Its good that Saints has honoured the lives of these men. It seems strange that the previous regimes would not do so, maybe there was an acceptable explanation that we will never know of. Still they have been honoured now.
  3. Northern poofters
  4. I like the graffiti on the sign in to Portsmouth "We eat humans".
  5. Saints ie Southampton FC
  6. You've explained why you prefer one moronic output (if I can't use the word chant) from the other, but for other people it's the other way around. So you can't defend one and knock the other because they are both the same thing, a collective moronic output designed to denigrate. As I've told you before football belongs to a lot of people not just the small group you belong to.
  7. Maybe the ****s at Uefa should consider changing their final or their rules and leave the playoffs where they are.
  8. You were moaning about the 'who' chant the other day, so its only light hearted banter when you say so. It's all about opinions I guess, but you can't moan about one and excuse the other. At the end of the day chanting is democratic and the loudest will be heard.
  9. Its just amazing in these days that people find gay chants and ginger chants funny. The bloke in front of me was creasing up when he was telling the bloke next to him what the songs were.
  10. Yes it was, I had a little moment when my brian had to remind itself it was watching professional football and not the fat fat bloke from finance doing one of his runs at the works 6 a-side.
  11. Just back, yesterday performances shows we are a work in progress; great energy, great passing and build up, great individual performances but still a bit unrefined in front of goal.
  12. As I'm from a Anglo-Irish family I will spend £300 worth of VAT I wasn't planning to spend to thank the government for showing solidarity to our close and entwined neighbour.
  13. I don't hate him, he obviously a good manager and a good character. His motives for coming here was probably wrong and he was never going to get along with the ***t Lowe, but he has proved that with the right resources he can do a job at a biggish club.
  14. We will thrash them.
  15. Says OB who has probably raised for charity less than 1% of what LM has.
  16. It sounds like he might be over his Middlesbrough sulk then
  17. Your reason to disprove the rumour is a bit weak because the approach and the extension request could both happen. RL has scored 50 goals over the last two seasons and would generate interest from the higher division so it's not beyond the impossible for Middlesbrough to have made an approach. NC aware that RL is an asset may have looked to protect that asset a bit further and appreciate its worth by elongating RL's contract. NC is a hard cookie and again its not improbable that he may have tried to do this without offering any more cash on the basis that RL wages jumped quite a lot when we signed him from Bristol Rovers. Furthermore it is possible that all this has unsettled RL, he is 28 and I would expect he would like a pop at a higher division before it's too late, he is a Northerner and may want to move closer to home etc etc. He wouldn't be the first player to play like an arse to force a move.
  18. So its all Gordon Strachans fault is there no loyalty in football anymore.
  19. Basically we had last year to go up, as all these players that were sold the story of an up and coming team with cash to splash are now getting a bit restless. The only thing that will stop the the restless legs of todays players is cash and we have been told that NC isn't go to roll over and let his tummy be tickled, so expect those less committed will want to leave and todays players just a force an exit by playing s*it. Its a shame the JP has gone as he is a good player and it seems he wont be the last, so we will have to get used to it. Lets hope NA has targeted decent replacements. In my opinion any player that plays crap to get a move is a c#nt and we play into their hands by booing as it gives them an excuse to throw their toys. Lets get in decent professionals.
  20. So I assume that there will be no Christmas tree, presents, crackers, Slade songs, etc in your house and you will be going to work. I also assume you are planning to catch the train on the 26th as you will be expecting it to be a Sunday service, as the Boxing Day no service will be on the 27th or 28th or whatever day is the true Boxing Day. As you say enough for another 5 years, lets hope we go top on the day after Christmas Day.
  21. This thing with traditions it that they evolve over time and we are now in a position that the day after Christmas whatever day it is is regarded as Boxing Day by all apart from a few pedants and snidey councils who want to catch drivers out. The BBC will be calling Boxing Day Boxing Day this year, so does the NHS Trust I work for, as they like most of they population regard Boxing Day as a non-moveable feast day and the corresponding Bank Holiday as a compensation day.
  22. There may not be Tubes as well on Boxing Day as the Tube drives wont work unless they get triple time and a day of in lieu.
  23. What a bunch of back slapping tw**s.
  24. I don't think Eastleigh would want to ground share with us.
