What Ess said. If I want to discuss Anthony Pulis* I have 2 options (well 3 if you include paying my fiver) 1) Wait for someone to start a thread about him. 2) Mention him on a thread about something totally different and hope to divert that thread off-topic. As I can't be arsed to do either I (and sounds like I'm far from alone) simply don't bother. *This was an eaxample, I have no wish to start a Pulis discussion

Me too. Took the wife to see Alice in Wonderland 3d at the Imax. Rest of the audience was ducking and oohing and aahing, I spent most of the film trying glasses upside down, back to front, contact lens in, out, eyes crossed, uncrossed etc - everything just looked normal Chris Evans was reporting the other day being shown a new hologram type of transmission which he reckoned makes todays HD and 3D tvs look as outdated as a b&w set. He honestly thought it was a wind up and they'd simply stuck a real person in front of him.

Always assumed it was a childish attempt at retaliation for the (universally accepted as genuine) Skate insult, based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever except for the tenuous fact that we are closer to the New Forest than them

If you have problems with Virgin forget the usual channels and contact them on Twitter via @virginmedia . The team on there get things sorted in no time.

At least one commentator, I think it's John Motson, insists on calling it that every time he commentates from there.

You 're right. Came out on a high having witnessed 10 goals only to hear that HMS Sheffield had been sunk by the Argies before we even reached the car, put a slight damper on the evening

Was expecting the "man dressed up as strange animal" type mascot, not the kids. Now that was funny

But that's exactly how it used to happen (minus the suggested on here bit) Difference is back in those days, the dozen or so that heard it in the pub would walk o the ground together and stand together in the ground, so when they started singing it it was already loud enough for others to catch on and join in. nowadays with all seater ticket only stadium, they get to the ground and all disperse to their various blocks/stands and there's never a big enough group together to get anything new started.

Spurs fans singing OWTSGMI In comparison The Northam sounds more like Alvin and the Chipmunks

FFS . It's BECAUSE it's a slow song that everyone can join in. Do Spurs and Stoke fans speed OWTSGMI up because they don't like it ? No they sing it properly Do West Hams speed I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles up because they don't like it ? No they sing it properly Do Bristol Rovers fans speed Goodnight Irene up because they don't like it ? No they sing it properly Do ManUre Away fans speed up because they don't like it ? No they sing it properly I could go on but I'm sure you get the point. Slow songs, sung properly catch on. The whole ground can join in. In fact when a slow song is sung properly it's harder NOT to join in. Give it a try sometime. Do Liverpool fans speed You'll Never Walk Alone up because they don't like it ? No they sing it properly Do Man City fans speed Blue Moon up because they don't like it ? No they sing it properly

It's not difficult either. A a "spokesperson" for want of a better description for a different supporters group about 5 years ago I found the Echo always printed anything sent to them (sometimes heavily edited to suit their agenda) as well as sometimes phoning for quotes. Radio and Tv was different, they rely more on immediate responses and would regularly phone for interviews/quotes, either live or recorded, (sometimes before I was even aware of a story, as was the case recently following ML's sad passing away despite me not being involved for over 4 years, ). So if you want your views heard then start contacting media outlets and give them your details.

To the original question, in the words of Simon Cowell "100% NO"

At the end of the day did we approach S****horpe and ask if we could have their manager? Or did their manager hear that we had a vacancy and decided to apply for the job?. Based on stories of around 50 applicants there would be no need for the former, so assuming it was the latter then it was up to him to end his previous employment before he could accept the position with us. So no compensation due. Go Nico, we're the ones playing the strong hand, no need to cave in for anyone.

A few duplications but more details than the BBC version and around 5 minutes ahead of them. Great addition to the forum.

Thank you Markus. You were the silver lining that saved us from our cloud. The dawn that followed our darkest hour . 'Twas a shame we never really got to know you . R.I.P.

Pitch looks in pretty poor shape for the start of the season

Fair comparison. Suppose none of them have started bleating about their human rights to play / watch football yet
