Wilkins hasn't had any goalscorers though. RL totally off form, Lallana injured and Barnard banned. With those three in the side and playing to ability, results would have been very diffrent.

Good news indeed. Given our poor start and the team obviously misfiring currently, cant help but think getting into the playoffs this year would be success, (although Id expect us to end the season strongly and be favourites for promotion from playoffs) .

Saints structure with Les Reed and Cortese might actually help with that problem. Some managers are just very good at coaching the team and getting tactics right on the day. At many bigger clubs the get dragged into all kinds of extraneous activities they have neither the skills nor aptitude for. Keep NA focussed on the doing what he does well and he and we will do fine.
