  1. Agreed. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=276571#post276571
  2. Ive no idea, and neither it seems has anyone else on here. What a refershing change that is from the previous leak and whisper cowboys who have toyed with us in the past. Makes me very hopeful.
  3. £5-6m might get you promoted from L1, but more like £20m to get promoted from CCC and another £40m to stay in the prem. How many people with that kind of money are going to be interssted in buying us for £15m. There are lots of easier options around. We'd need someone who is stacked, a passionate fan and wreckless.
  4. Dreadful ones cost you more in the end.
  5. Am I the only one struck by how much more effective Mark Fry is an advocate for the club compared with any of individuals weve had in recent years. I know its not possible, but I'd love to see him as the next CEO.
  6. The next two games could be the first 16 pointers we've ever played.
  7. I dont want him driven away, or anybody else either. I just want him to stop stalking people and issues. Its unfair on the victim and its boring for the rest of us.
  8. People are assuming Aviva would settle for a price around £12-15m - about half the debt. The number of possible permutations are endless - everything from pulling down SMS and building flats, through to Aviva offering an impecunious purchaser the finance needed to take it off their hands like Barclays did with IShares.
  9. For Christs sake give it up you repetitive tedious w**ker. For all your sense of self importance, you're just another poster on here.
  10. It means leaking a few snippets on a fans forum to encourage the others.
  11. Thanks. I knew the essence before, but not the detail. Interesting and strangely sickening at the same time.
  12. No tie. I think that rules us out.
  13. I met a billionaire a couple of weeks ago. He talked a lot about Southampton and keeping his yacht on the Hamble. I can only assume from that he is going to buy us.
  14. At least as reliable as the posters on here. You could take it to the bank. :^o
  15. Uncanny
  16. Why Richard Branson? What interest has he ever shown in any football? Just because he is famous and rich doesnt make him a candidate to buy us out. I'm sure there are many people out there who might be interested at the right price, but I doubt Branson is one of them.
  17. Sums it all up really.
  18. For sale but for how much? I guess anyone who is prepared to take over the £1m debt, pay a realistic price for staplewood and can come up with a viable arrangment with Aviva to rent back the stadium - say £1.4 million pa is in with a good chance.
  19. You would, but if you knew the mortgage company were in a very unsympathetic mood, you'd put the payment on your credit card instead, or defer payment of the electricity bill rather than risk repossession.
  20. Looks like we gave them the excuse to call in the facility by breaching the terms of overdraft. As 70s Mike said, bit incompetent - we should have managed cashflow better if that is the case.

    Fulthorpe

Marg Galadari, that my tip. More chance than Fulthorpe anyway.
  22. Nothing exotic, just a link from the BBC article, bottom right http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/7976418.stm
  23. A United Arab Emirates news website is carrying the story. Bit odd for them to care about a CCC club. Maybe there is a local angle (says he desperately hoping....) http://www.khaleejtimes.com/DisplayArticleNew.asp?xfile=data/sports/2009/April/sports_April31.xml&section=sports
  24. Theres a joke there somewhere....
  25. And your stance is so much more viable.....wish for admin, disregard the effect of relegation and assume (ie hope based on nothing at all) that something better will emerge from the ashes. Lots and lots of posts, very little grasp of anything material.
