He said it MIGHT turn out to be a fantastic decision and I don't see where he's changed his view on Adkins.
I was happy with Pardew. I was also happy with Adkins. I may well be happy with this new chap too. Time will tell.
People have a strange view on pragmatism on here
I must admit that wacky thought crossed my mind too earlier but wasn't brave enough to mention it on here.
The timings do fit.... i.e. MP is appointed shortly after 'Pep' commits to Bayern.
Nah...surely not...
@pn_neil_allen: Feel for Fratton Park staff after latest 10 pc pay cuts. One yesterday told me theirs had totalled 40 pc drop in last few years. #Pompey
@officialsaints: Vegard Forren signs for Southampton from FK Molde on a three-and-a-half-year contract: http://t.co/GfNAh4yL #saintsfc http://t.co/WrqvriKu
I think the timing is odd but not a total surprise. Not sure about the new chap - will see how that pans out before casting judgement.
Do you still agree with your assessment of Cortese when he sacked Pardew and brought in Adkins?
We need a "Don't Know" option in the poll question that's just been added to the thread IMO....same question as the one posed for Pardew would allow us to compare and contrast....here: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?24795-Pardew-and-Coaching-Staff-Sacked
Q: Was the club right to sack Pardew?
Yes: 12.63%
No: 55.79%
Don't Know: 31.58%
@officialsaints: Mauricio Pochettino: "Our supporters are a very important part of the Club. I hope I can convince them with work and honesty." #saintsfc
How would the letter begin?
"Dear Liebherr Family,
You know that man that's quadrupled the value of Markus' investment over the last 3 years? Well....."
I've already said the timing of the decision is "strange". It is possible to reflect on a strange decision in a pragmatic fashion. If we end up getting relegated because of this decision then I'll be first in the queue to reflect on how bad it a decision it was.
