Ok, fair points....with which I agree. I'm just playing the ever so slightly devil's advocate card. I can't even remember the exact quote from Pardew but he did talk about building a side capable of playing in the top half of the championship THIS season, didn't he? As, yes, this could of course comprise mainly of players who show potential of being able to play at that level rather than just filling the team full of players who have already proven themselves at that level. cheers

Depends what you mean by "worse off"....if the extra cash helps our push for promotion (by financing the wages of an extra player for example) then, yes, said fans are "worse off" on a pure financial level but, on an emotional level, their lives are richer through improved performance of 'their' club....

Ask someone nicely on here to text you regular match-day updates..... For example: "14:37 - Matchday programmes withdrawn. We're all doomed"

Just to clarify (sorry, haven't read all the bumpf about it), does the £3 apply to all online/tele sales regardless of whether they are being posted or pit aside for collection on match day. I usually do the latter. Cheers

I assume they'll do 'special offer' games on a case by case basis? So, if they think they'll get a low turn out on a cold Tuesday in February they might do a 'kids for a quid' and/or reduce the adult price. Supply and demand and all that malarkey

Ok, here goes....Devil's Advocate alert.... Can someone post a link that PROVES that Markus is who we believe him to be (i.e. a Swiss billionaire) ? Obviously all the signs are there based on circumstantial evidence but we don't have CONCLUSIVE evidence that he has hundreds of millions of pounds at his disposable, do we? For example, how do we know that Cortese didn't finance the purchase of the club through his City contacts and signed up a Rich Billionaire Look-i-likey a la Markus Liebherr to make it all look like we've got a single rich owner....? Supply 100% proof and I'll put such a daft conspiracy theory to bed.... ;-)

Fair points but below is what I posted on the 'Season Tickets' thread to explain my thinking - i.e. why would we want our Football Club to apply a less rigorous credit check to a bank or credit card company?
