How do you know for sure that the long term outcome won't be as good as it was the last time we were relegated from the Premier League?

From this afternoon's press conference.... - Davis (& Stephens) the only confirmed absentee from the squad, due to a new injury (achilles) - Hughes considering starting Bednarek to maintain same defensive formation as vs Arsenal Edit: bugger.... Guessing its tickets they held back for friends, families, corporates, etc but didn't end up needing? I did notice when I booked up (as soon as sales opened on day 1) that there were several groups of seats within certain blocks that seemingly had not been put on sale. Edit: just read ericb's reply which pretty much confirms this

First game in a long while that our effort warranted a better return. If we had 10+ games left I'd be quietly confident Hughes could turn things around, but probably too little too late at this stage of the season.
