All Wotton ever does is hoof the ball aimlessly, it is very disruptive and breaks up Saints play. One of the poorest technical players I've seen at Saints in years. Yes, he is motivated and tries hard but adds very little to the team.
Seaborne will be groomed to take over from Jaidi long term. I think 1st choice will be Jaidi/Fonte atm with Seaborne playing occasionally if Jaidi isn't up to lots of games in a short period.
Otsemobor is on a 6 month contract to cover for Murty's injury problems. Either he will do well and earn an extended contract or Saints will buy a new right back in the summer.
The videos work fine and I've never had a problem with the radio. You also have the option of listening to the away commentary which is more interesting.
You get things like...
- 10 minute Pardew press conference before the match.
- New player signing interviews.
- Feature videos
- Post match player and manager interviews
- Extended match highlights (often over 10 minutes long) far better than 30 seconds on the TV
- Youth team and reserve matches
- For a few matches you get the entire 90 minutes on video
- Radio commentary
- Video archive
- etc etc
For £18 a year it is great value and for an oversea Saint like yourself I'd say an essential purchase for such a low price.
Wow, I sound like I work for their PR company.
It isn't. Steve Perryman about the Seaborne transfer said it was Saints that wanted it to be undisclosed. Every Saints transfer under Liebherr/Cortese has been done this way.
You can't change numbers mid season.
It is just a training bib, means nothing. Hence why Lambert is wearing number 9 and not his number 7. Barnard imo will be number 17 vacated by Paterson.
He'd be great in this league even though he is a Pompey player of 8 years. I'd be happy if he signed as is exactly the type of player Saints need.
One drawback to signing him is that it is giving money to Pompey.
Because with Barnard joining he is a long way from ever starting for Saints.
If he was included in the deal the transfer fee would come down. Southend wouldn't bother saying it was a separate deal if it wasn't.
