  1. I agree. Better for him to play for a team challenging for the top two in League One than in the reserves for a lower Premiership team like Surman has been for most of the season. He has plenty of time to play in the Premiership and staying with Saints will likely see him in the Championship for the 2011/12 season.
  2. If Saints are still in League One next year there isn't a chance in hell that they will offer a player £30k p/w. £9k p/w tops He is also in contract beyond next season so don't need to sell or offer a new contract. They can simply say no and he doesn't move. However if a Prem team wants him he would go no matter what.
  3. Well if that happened then it doesn't matter what Saints did as they wouldn't match it, nor offer him Premiership football. I very much doubt Lambert would be considered to be a Premiership player, which is where Newcastle will be in the Summer. Championship is his level imo.
  4. Three of them signed contracts in 2009. Why give them a new contract again in 2010?
  5. There is a third way...a draw
  6. It tells you on a sign above the turnstile which one to use on each matchday.
  7. Pompey won't succeed and even if they did the Premier League is a different governing body with different rules to the Football League.
  8. Hard to give a factual reply about a players performances when you live in Austria and hardly see a game.
  9. I guess the Echo are planning on making a mountain out of a molehill on Monday? "Pardew in furious rage in interview due to Cortese" Reads the headline 1st March 2010 Nothing like some sensationalism to sell some papers and wind the clubs management up whilst already in a feud. If the Echo does run with this story it really will have reached a bottom point for its journalism. It is a nothing story, you only think there was nothing wrong with the questions cos the Echo uses similar lines of questioning. i.e. there is only one possible answer a manager can give and the questions are obvious and pointed. "Are you happy you won 7-0?" What is he expected to say?
  10. As I said...I think it is nothing like he has heard he is about to be sacked etc. More that the questions were as stupid and pointed as usual from Blackmore. He just looked frustrated at the reporter if anything.
  11. Video of the Radio Solent interview is now on Saints Player. A lot more telling seeing it rather than just hearing it on radio. I think he was just annoyed with the usual pointless questions. They only have obvious answers and must bore Pardew each week talking to Radio Solent.
  12. Leeds United you mean
  13. It isn't just a data update reliant on when the window closes. It is also a patch so that needs to be fully tested and solve as many issues as possible as will be the last patch for FM10.
  14. Glasgow Saint? Unless of course they are one and the same.
  15. SI have said from the start it would be Late February to Mid March. They are not obliged to make an update or patch at all but do so.
  16. Schneiderlin is class. Anyone that disagrees is simply wrong!
  17. What about if only 4 or 5 of the top six win and Saints lose? How is that win-win?
  18. Michael Mifsud to Pompey? Strange as a transfer embargo was meant to be back in place. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/Fresh-transfer-embargo-for-Pompey.6106232.jp Mifsud was training with Southampton earlier in the season but didn't do enough to earn a contract in League One. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/football-rumours-gossip/2010/02/26/michael-mifsud-offered-portsmouth-trial-92746-25919787/
  19. Certainly not worth £3. 60% of it is adverts
  20. It is only because he was asked about Pompey, what else could he have said? If at the time Saints went into administration he'd have said the same. You can pretty much guarantee any politician asked that question would respond in exactly the same way. Brown wouldn't want to annoy potential Labour voters in Portsea with an upcoming general election.
  21. I think it is very unlikely a CVA will be signed, leaving them starting on minus points in the Championship.
  22. 9 points in a 38 game league = 92.75% of the total points available 10 points in a 46 game league = 92.2% of the total points available Therefore -9 points is actually a marginally harsher punishment
  23. That "Some guy" was the MP for Portsmouth South.
  24. Would require a change in the rules as atm this can't happen.
  25. 45% faster to be precise
