I could go on Twitter now and write... "Southampton want Messi & Ronaldo" Just putting "On Twitter" is ridiculous! What is your source? Who on Twitter said it?
-
If you trace back to the article that is based on, it is a case of the Metro plucking a story out of the air. No mention of Saints in the recent story the Metro links to... http://as.com/diarioas/2015/06/08/english/1433746650_725606.html The only link is to an old Metro rehash of a Mirror story from March... http://metro.co.uk/2015/03/18/southampton-plot-loan-signing-of-real-madrid-wonderkid-martin-odegaard-5110410/ It is shoddy and lazy journalism.

So you were itk, that he wasn't itk.
-
Useful for when the club is looking for main sponsors from 2016/17 onwards.
-
Ings wasn't free, they have to pay Burnley a compensation fee.
-
He didn't.
-
Why? Do you not agree striker generally get better with age until they peak in their late 20's? Vardy at 28 should be at his peak and yet a player 6 years younger that you think is worse (Ings) scored more than twice what Vardy did. What do you think Ings will be like at 28? You then used Welbeck at Sunderland as an example. To prove what exactly? As Welbeck scored more in that loan spell as a 19/20 year old than Vardy did in a season he should be at or near his peak.
-
What does that have to do with anything? He was a teenager when he was at Sunderland, not 28 years old as Vardy is. In any case... Welbeck scored 6 goals in 26 Premier League games for Sunderland. So he did better than Vardy did this season!
-
Because a striker at 28 years old should be in his peak years... not scoring 5 league goals in a season. A striker you deemed not as good (Ings), scored 11 league goals and is 6 years younger. Another striker 3 years younger (Austin) scored 18 league goals. Both of those played for relegated teams so Vardy can't even use playing for Leicester as an excuse.
-
Ings scored 11 this season and is 22 years old... to Vardy's 5 goals at 28 years old. Both were in teams in the relegation battle, but Ings was more impressive. Austin is 25 years old, played for a relegated side and scored 18 top flight goals this season. All three were having their 1st season in the Premier League, Vardy was by far the least impressive and isn't close to the level of player we need. What are you claiming 28 year old Jamie Vardy has "clearly got" to "progress to the next level" as a centre forward, isn't he leaving it extremely late? Lambert in his first season in the Premier League scored 15 goals, compared to Vardy's 5.
-
Its easy for the manager of Man Utd to say that, the pool of players that would consider Man Utd a step down from other clubs they've played for is relatively small.
-
What makes you think that? He has only ever scored 5 top flight goals.
-
I doubt Vardy would be remotely near the England squad if... Rodriguez Ings Kane Berahino Sturridge Welbeck ...were available for these two games.

Linked with Argentinean international keeper Sergio Romero, who is out of contract this summer... https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.medyaspor.com%2Fhaber%2Fbesiktasa-arjantinli-kaleci-romero-36710&edit-text=

What exactly do you mean by that?
-
His Premier League debut was in November 2002.
-
It won't start until Neil Ashton declares on the back page of the Daily Mail that it has started.
-
You think if there was a French/Spanish/German/Italian etc 25 year old who was the 4th top scorer in the Premier League with 18 goals in 35 games for a relegated side... he would be worth £6m?
-
In 2009 he was 28 years old at at his peak, he is now 34 years old... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/7803353.stm. We also had a terrible team that day compared to that current one... Davis, James, Perry, Lancashire, Skacel, Smith (Holmes 69), McGoldrick, Gillett (Schneiderlin 56), Surman, Gobern (McLaggon 56), Paterson.
-
James Milner 2014/15 (league only): 1 goal every 349 minutes 1 assist every 219 minutes Raheem Sterling 2014/15 (league only): 1 goal every 435 minutes 1 assist every 381 minutes

Rodriguez has returned - BREAKING: NEW CONTRACT SIGNED
Matthew Le God replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
At times we did. Like with Koeman, we didn't use the same formation throughout the entire game & switched back and forth. Under Pochettino we sometimes had either Wanyama or Schneiderlin as a DM, two CM's in front and then Lallana, Rodriguez and Lambert as a front three. Or we used a 4-2-3-1 system with Davis for example in the number 10 role. Plus the labelling of formations is very subjective, one person's 4-5-1 can easily be viewed by someone else as a 4-2-3-1. A 4-3-3 and a 4-1-4-1 can also be mixed easily, or a 5-3-2 and a 3-5-2. -

Matthew Le God replied to CHAPEL END CHARLIE's topic in The Saints
The requirements would have to be loosened (which could happen in an emergency relocation), as we don't have enough stadiums of the right size (40-45k+), nor the right number of 5* hotels in certain cities. Plus in FIFA's rules you can't have a large number of stadiums in one city, although they seem to have been lax with most of the Qatar stadiums being very close to Doha. -

If you are redeveloping stadiums, then you don't "have the facilities" as he claimed. - White Hart Lane isn't being redeveloped, they are building a new stadium. - Molineux has a capacity of 31,000 - Anfield is currently being expanded - you have listed 5 London stadiums -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33005152 UK Sport Secretary John Whittingdale MP says we "have the facilities in this country", but we don't. England's original 2018 bid included... - A new stadium in Nottingham - Expanding and improving Bristol City's stadium or building a new one - Expanding and improving Hillsborough - Expanding and improving Elland Road - Expanding stadium:mk - Expanding Home Park Derby, Leicester, Portsmouth and Hull also made bids but didn't get on the final list of the England 2018 bid. All would need big changes to their stadiums.
