All whilst sat on the deck of one of these... -
I think that first appeared in the press three weeks ago on 25th July... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jul/25/southampton-morgan-schneiderlin-tottenham

Koeman says he can play on the right or left... Exactly!
-
I think more likely it'll stay the same system as Koeman's used throughout pre-season, with Long replacing Isgrove. Forster Clyne Fonte Gardos Bertrand (when fit) Wanyama Davis Taider/Schneiderlin Tadic Long/Rodriguez Pelle
-
Gardos has confirmed he is injured and will miss the Liverpool game and possibly a couple of weeks. From 4:15...
-
I may be wrong but... 1st January 2009 Lee Molyneux and Ryan Smith signed permanent Southampton contracts.
-
We do it all the time and have done for many years, just ask Swindon, Plymouth, Exeter, Pompey, Bournemouth, Torquay etc etc.

Sports writer contributing mainly to The Independent... Nick Szczepanik @NickSzczepanik 15m #bhafc fans will be demanding answers if, as several sources suggest today, @Solly_March is next to leave, with #saintsfc the destination.

The system we use is one central midfielder in front of the centre backs and then two other central midfielders further advanced. We have 7 central midfielders, and Cork isn't in the starting 3, he is one of the remaining 4. If he has aspirations of regular first team football he isn't going to get it at Saints next season.
-
If Cork is considered to be behind Wanyama for the role sat in front of the centre backs, why would Cork sign a new deal to sit on the bench if he wants regular first team football?
-
Because I've watched the team in pre-season and listened to every Koeman interview where he has stated on a number of occasions the'll play 4-3-3. Cork is clearly behind Wanyama to play in the role sitting in front of the centre backs. In any case, regardless of them playing 3 central midfielders or 2, Cork is very unlikely to be one of them with everyone fit and he wants regular first team football. He is one of 7 central midfielders at the club. How have you jumped to that conclusion?
-
We play a system that requires 3 central midfielders, Cork isn't one of those three, he is one of 7 first team central midfielders at the club. He clearly wants regular first team football and he won't get that at Saints. Saints have enough central midfielders to be able to sell Cork for four times what they paid for him with a year left on his contract.
-
Saints are playing a system with three central midfielders and Saints have seven first team central midfielders, Cork is 25 years old, isn't first choice and has only one year left on his deal. Although he is a good player its understandable why both the club would sell him and he'd want to leave.
-
He is only 9 months younger than Shane Long, so not an up and coming striker either.
-
Well since 2012/13 we've added Wanyama as a defensive shield and you nor I know how Pelle and Tadic will do in the Premier League, yet you appear to be writing them off... are you?
-
And your actual point is...?
-
4? He scored 7 Premier League goals in 2013/14. 8 in 2012/13 and 8 in 2011/12.
-
Our defence in the successful part of 2012/13 was... Boruc Clyne Fonte Yoshida Shaw At the moment for 2014/15 it is only two players different to that... Forster Clyne Fonte Yoshida Bertrand Forster seen as an improvement on Boruc, Bertrand a downgrade on Shaw but still a good player, plus we now have Wanyama as a defensive shield and keeper cover is better with Boruc on the bench rather than Davis/Gazzaniga. Without a better centre half than Yoshida we won't stay in the top half of the league, but its not a relegation candidate defence.
-
McCarthy or Stephens.
-
Which teams that finished below us last season have a better strike force than....? Long/Rodriguez Pelle/Gallagher Tadic/Ramirez
-
The fee does seem excessive, but equally it looks in line with other domestic club to club transfers in the huge 2013-16 TV deal era. I'm sure they could get a better player from Europe for that kind of money, but in a way this is less of a risk. The £12m figure is likely to be the total amount if all clauses are met, I doubt it is a guaranteed £12m. If it happens it gives a strike force for Ronald Koeman's 4-3-3 system of... Long/Rodriguez Pelle/Gallagher Tadic/Ramirez Which is hopefully good enough to maintain 8th position and have a good cup run.
-
Exactly, in a lot of the youtube videos of his "best bits" he is in the left wing channel.
