New ticketing system - Validate your details
Matthew Le God replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
St Mary's will only be expanded to 44,999 -
They may still get points deductions in League One for the collapse of the 2010 CVA. They will be diluting the 2010 CVA with a 2012 CVA, which amounts to the same as not agreeing a CVA in 2010, which would have received a huge points deduction.

Not an ideal start to their new system, but it does say... "Should you experience problems with the system, please send an email with your full name, address, contact telephone number and date of birth to tickets@saintsfc.co.uk." -

Same happened to me. No idea what is meant to happen, I'd guess it is now validated but would have been nice to receive such a message to confirm it. -
So QI was right.
-
QI was wrong then.

There isn't an English word that means the same, which is what I said. I didn't say there wasn't an English definition, there clearly is.

Apart from the Rugby World Cup preventing building work at St Mary's during that time in 2015, it will have no bearing on any decision to increase capacity. There is not a lot of money to be made hosting very minor games at a Rugby World Cup, it is very different to hosting the Football European Championships or FIFA World Cup.

Schadenfreude - is a German word that doesn't have an English equivalent and its definition is "a pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others". Use your Saints Player login to view... We started to hear from witnesses of the fans dinners before the clubs spokesman confirmed that they were happening. If it were the other way round you might say the fans made it up as they knew about the fans dinners. However the fans were reporting on them before it was confirmed they were taking place so how did they know? So are you accusing people like Spudgun and others of lying to us? What do they gain from that?
-
What a strange analogy! - The entire population is a witness to the sun rising and setting. - The entire population was not at the fans dinners. - The fans dinners definetely occur, club spokesman Jordan Sibley has tweeted about them. - Sibley even followed and replied to people on Twitter who claim to have gone. - More than one person has recalled such statements about Cortese's plans for expansion, what have they got to gain by making it up? - Why is that not "evidence"?

In case you hadn't noticed, Saints are in the 2nd tier. 26k is the 2nd tier is very good. If Saints were... - in Italy it would be the 7th highest in Serie A - in Spain it would be the 9th highest in La Liga - in France it would be the 4th highest in Ligue 1 - in the English Premier League it would be the 12th highest That is all whilst playing Championship clubs with Championship players on show for Saints. Put Saints back in the highest profile and richest league in world football and you will see a big increase.

- Southampton sold Chamberlain for £12m rising to £15m in the first reporting period. - Equity investment is still allowed next season (albeit dropping over time to 2015/16). - The £15m spent on Staplewood training ground is exempt from these rules. - Can you tell me how much Saints made/lost in 2011/12 (the first reporting period for these rules)? No, because those accounts are not out yet. Income for the first 6 months of this season compared to last season was up by 70% though. In any case Nicola Cortese was fully aware that these rules would come in and he welcomed them. He wouldn't have expected Southampton to go up this season so will have budgeted for still being in the Championship next season.

Saturday is going to see a club all time record attendance of over 32,300 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2748960,00.html Coventry will be the 8th game this season with over 30,000 fans at St Mary's and will average circa 27k by the end of the season. Very good for a club in the 2nd tier. Only 19 games at home in the Premier League, Saints had 8 over 30k matches in the 2nd tier. Games next season if promoted will obviously be a lot more attractive to the fanbase.

With Coventry captain and player of the year Richard Keogh suspended, Martin Cranie's centre back partner is likely to be a 17 year old making his league debut. Sharp, Lallana and Lambert should in theory have a field day!

He trained today with the rest of the squad at St Mary's...

If Saints are above West Ham at 2:30pm on Saturday then they deserve to be there no matter what happens vs Coventry. I see where you are coming from and of course we should beat an already relegated team, but it is a 46 games season and if Saints are 2nd after 46 games then they deserve it.
