  1. A small patch has been released today. http://www.footballmanager.com/index.php?p=patches If you have installed your game via Steam it will download automatically. The patch is also save game compatible. Changelist... http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/237501-Patch-11.1.1-Now-Available!-Aka-Hotfix It includes everything on 11.1 plus some more, so if you haven't got 11.1 yet just get this.
  2. Assistant manager at the English Champions to scouting for a League One side is not a sideways move. I hope you were joking!
  3. He recommended the League One top scorer from 2008/09, to a League One team with money in 2009/10? Impressive stuff!
  4. Jaidi will cope with Madine better in the air than Seaborne could hopefully.
  5. Wigan are in the relegation zone! They also have cheaper season tickets in the Premier League than Saints do in League One. Do you not think that if they had all the TV money plus large gates that other teams get they would have a better team?
  6. The Wikipedia page said nothing of a stadium move, Cortese did in interview.
  7. What a lovely grasp of the English language you have. That all makes very little sense! Talking in riddles, poor punctuation, poor spelling, text speak, unsubstantiated rumours/slurs on Cortese and very agenda driven! I don't remember ever seeing an article that Bill Green had been hired. The only mention of him ever on the OS was on the huge staff list. Why does the club need to announce him leaving to goto Leicester City? Most fans wouldn't have a clue he was even at Saints in the first place!
  8. Do you think something is imminent on the Eastleigh council's website? What sort of time frame?
  9. What does that mean? The Itchen Stand already has the corporate facilities in it. No mention of anything on the councils planning website... http://publicaccess.southampton.gov.uk/PublicAccess/propdb/property/property_history_summary.aspx?blpukeyval=002MC5OZBU000&lpikeyval=00253AOZLI000&module=P3&historymodule=DC
  10. Well, which stands were different to how they are now? How were they different? etc etc
  11. Don't leave it like that, describe in detail what you saw.
  12. Because Saints in 125 years have never had a board with real ambition and the resources to match the ambition. Under Cortese (with the Liebherr's backing) we may do. Investment in the team would see more fans turn up.
  13. Saints already have a director of football in all but name. Les Reed pretty much has the role already.
  14. More petty insults... If you spend £100m on a stadium, you still own the stadium. It still has value and in fact adds value to the club when they sell it on.
  15. The Liebherr's don't do debt! They'd more likely pay for the development and then add it to the value of the asset.
  16. It isn't perfect if they wanted to make it bigger. The area would struggle to cope with the extra demands put on it.
  17. From League One to Champions League group stages in just 4 years! A tad unrealistic! Season 4
  18. It isn't the location that makes the Ricoh soulless. It is the lack of Coventry fans in it.
  19. A couple of hundred at most. A lot of them were friends/family of the players. Hopefully if they progress in this then home games will get more fans turning up, like back in 2005 when a few thousand watched the youth team at St Mary's.
  20. The FA Youth Cup is a very prestigious thing to win, more so than the league. When selling the academy to prospective parents/kids that Saints' academy is the one to pick for their development, an FA Cup youth win is a good thing to point out. Thus makes sense to use Chamberlain in just the academy cup games to give Saints the best possible chance of winning it. In any case he only played half this game and wasn't exactly stretched by Thurrock!
  21. Part of the problem is the congestion and disruption it causes on matchdays to the road network. Now imagine if an extra 20k people were going.
  22. Dovey - Didn't have much to do, but did have a couple of very dodgy mix ups with his centre backs when going for balls outside the box Young - Was impressed with him at right back, assured and comfortable on the ball and did the simple things well. O'Sullivan - A few slip ups at left back, a number of misplaced passes and poor positioning at times. Foot - Dominant in the air but passing at times was poor. Martin - Same as his centre back partner, dominent in the air, let himself down on the floor at times. Holder-Spooner - Always a threat with pace down the right wing Robinson - A steady game from the captain in central midfield, nothing spectacular apart from his free kick goal and was subbed in second half. Ward-Prowse - I think is a very good prospect as a central midfielder, good on the ball and can spot and execute defense splitting passes Curtis - Drifted in and out of the game on the left wing, alot of the play especially in the first half was going down Saint's right and Curtis was isolated Hoskins - Good on the ball, but had numerous chances to score particulary in the second half but lacked composure to score when he should have. Chamberlain - As we all now know he is a big threat at League One level, let alone playing the youth team of a non league side, had his moments where he left Thurrock players for dead with pace and skill. However tonight he lacked some of the end product we have seen in the first team. Subs: Moore - Came on for Robinson in central midfield, gave a good performance comfortable on the ball and did simple things well Chambers - Came on for Holder-Spooner, not as pacy or direct as the man he replaced, but took his goal very well from distance and helped stretch the game as it went on. Sinclair - Came on for Chamberlain early in the second half. This lad has real potential, still very young but you can see that he may well have what it takes to play at a high level. Extremely quick, good football brain and a good touch. Subs unused: Hamon and Shaw
  23. Why is it "pointless drivel"? The FA youth cup is a prestigious thing to win and Saints' Academy is the future of the club. I just got back in from the game. Will write a little report if anyone is interested once I'm warm again, was freezing at St Mary's tonight and my hands are numb.
  24. Highlights of the game are now on Saints Player.
  25. It was Saints development squad vs Bournemouth reserves, not Saints vs Portsmouth reserves.
