What the old one, where you had to share a dressing room with all the teams playing?! Was interesting post-match if there'd been a particularly fesity game...

This is really getting boring, isn't it? Surely even their fans are embarrassed by this? We sold out games in League 1 and you still didn't hear this level of bleating about what a 'massive' club we were from players.

I've been saying this for a while. I can't believe that an ultra competitive, money-making industry like football could afford to overlook all these talented young coaches on the basis of their skin colour. Players certainly aren't as they have proven that they are as good as white players. As Jamo says, it seems less black players go into coaching and the few that do demand that they are given jobs, on the basis that if they aren't - it's racist. There must be 1000s of out of work, 'white' coaches that aren't good enough - it's an ultra competitive field. If coaches are good enough, they will get a job - irrespective of skin colour. All IMO, of course...

Buying a house very soon, just wondering if anyone has used any online conveyancing companies? Have been quoted £599 just for conveyancing (without all the normal fees), which seems a bit steep? So looking at other options. Anyone have any good/bad experiences of just using an online company?

What's the wierdest thing you've ever seen someone do at football?

A couple of seasons ago, saw a bloke in front of me keep checking the Saints score on his iPhone. Wasn't checking the team or stats, just the score - bizarre. -
Agreed. I suggest that the OP poses the question: what would Jesus have done? TBF, I reckon he wouldn't have been in this position, as he would have laid the carpet himself. His old man being a carpenter meant he was probably decent in trades and he also proved himself handy with nails too...

Does Phil play golf then? Learning a lot from today's thread.

Indeed that would mean only approx. 1.3bn in the whole world, weren't watching us! I'm sure there's still over 1.3bn without access to a TV, or at least satellite...

Lol. I wasn't advocating that (as an aside we don't pay for blood in this country anyway, do we?). Was pointing out that they could call on skilled fans like 'Terry the Builder' to help build them a new stadium. It's not like they've used up all their goodwill with local traders, is it??
-
This is pretty much what Union Berlin did. I was talking to a guy in Germany about them, and the phew could learn a lot from their efforts. They basically built a stadium on fan donations and fans actually built the stadium in their spare time! This is from the following link:

If they were 'real' fans, wouldn't 60 pledges to the PST be better than chucking £60k into a hole? That's 20 days payment for Birch....

To be fair to Tyler, he said 'the Premier League don't take kindly to messages [in general]'. He don't say anything about politics. He obviously didn't know what it meant, but neither did I - as I'm not a muslim.

I'm surprised people like Bates haven't got more to say about this. Or fans from teams like B'mouth, Plymouth, Rotherham, Luton etc - who were all shafted by the FL. Particularly B'mouth as they are playing them on Sat - you'd think someone would pipe up and say there should be equal treatment.

He used to play for Wednesday in 90s and did raise a few laughs from us as school kids...

You've been listening to Barry Glendenning! I completely agree though. It's not a protest.
-
Is that for the land though? Or, is that completely separate? I thought he had £2.5m secured, plus the land which was claimed was worth £4m. He did this deal in exchange for about £20m of debt. I could be confused here. But any figure owed to him is conspicious in its absence...
-
What about Gaydamack's secured debt? Didn't he have about £2.5m secured from the last CVA? What happened to this, as no-one is talking about it anymore? Did he take the land in exchange?

This comment is on that article: Either that's one of us, or the depths of idioacy knows no bounds...

The "Why have we signed him" transfer that proved you wrong
Saint Mikey replied to fareham saint phil's topic in The Saints
Have to agree with this one. He'd suffered from some right howlers at Chelsea and it smacked of another - not good enough, over-the-hill player like Speedie, Dixon, Hurlock etc. However, I thought he actually did very well for us overall. -
Where did this story come from? I've only got one question: why? I'm all for these things if there's a good reason, i.e. cloning etc.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. It wouldn't matter about the 'poke in the eye for Creationism'. These people believe what they want to believe. Darwin's theory, the existence of dinosaurs and translating of the Rosetta Stone - pretty much stamped on the head of Creatonism and all around the same(ish) time. Religion should have completely collapsed - yet, millions of nutjobs still persist in believing that tripe...

They have to be certs to go down, as things currently stand. Although, I would have said that about Plymouth last season and they scraped it. B'mouth easily stayed up too, under a transfer embargo and a 17pt deduction. Luton found 30pts too much mind you. This is the level of punishment they should still be getting...

Harsh, after the finish he managed last year in the circumstances. Another example of how cut-throat football can be...

Why can I find no odds for them to be relegated? Do the bookies not do this til later? I've found some for them to be promoted - the guys at William Hill must be on drugs, as they have them at 9/1!

Don't feel sorry for Carrick. He made himself 'unavailable for selection'.
