  1. Rupert would just have an equally massive one reading: 'Bet I won't'
  2. Is anyone else liking the fact that alot of them have to wear luminous armbands or luminous vests these days?! Really takes away that 'look at how 'ard and cool I am' image. Good.
  3. WTF? Are you suggesting that the US have produced better players than Argentina recently?! Better players than Messi, Tevez, Mascheraaaaaano? A big LOL @ that.
  4. McGoldrick double-hattrick?
  5. TBF, £15m-£20m for a player they bought for £5m, a season and a bit ago is great business. Just can't understand why Wenger let him go without giving him a proper chance.
  6. Jog it in - rest when you get there...
  7. I agree. Whilst women can go all 'oooh' and 'ahhhh' at a load of fags in their Chippendale style emails without any recourse. This is where society has gone wrong imo; a swift return to 50's values would restore the backbone in this country.
  8. I stand corrected. Didn't know that could happen that early on in a kid's career. Prob a good thing all in all.
  9. How can they have a sell-on fee? His first pro-contract was with us. Load of tosh imo.
  10. £1.7bn? Couldn't they chuck in a extra £50m for the footy team?
  11. Agreed. A series of events, that through chinese whispers have been blown well out of what originally happened. You only have to bring one argument up where 'creationists' are concerned - dinosaurs. Watch them try and explain their existence and the complete lack of even a slight mention in the bible...
  12. No, no he doesn't. Aren't you listening to the people on here? Lowe wants to sell all the young players and make sure his own plan fails. Whatever Lowe says, some people will think the exact opposite - there is no hope (unless we get promoted then everyone will soon forget).
  13. I would say: £3,420 x 2 x however many days (seems like 16.8!). Nice little windfall, although maybe the club knew about this anyway...
  14. No they didn't, I went to that game and stood in the Northam! They had over half, mind you.
  15. From watching that vid, the bloke has as much poise as a three-legged turtle. If he makes it to a pro, I will eat my hat. Fair play to giving it a go though, will be interested in the study in general. I would have thought the fitness side will certainly help him along.
  16. This is a good move for the lad. Lge 2 is even more physical than the CC. From seeing the Blackpool game he clearly isn't ready for the 1st team just yet (I know he had a decent debut against Derby). This should toughen him up and give him some confidence. He should get a few games under his belt and Shrewsbury are doing OK in the League...
  17. Nothing. We let him go and if you'd seen his MySpace page, you'd understand why. Braaap!
  18. Get covered in plaster of paris?
  19. The '98 World Squad was: David Seaman, Nigel Martyn, Tim Flowers, Sol Campbell, Tony Adams, Gareth Southgate, Graeme Le Saux, Martin Keown, Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville, David Beckham, Darren Anderton, Paul Ince, David Batty, Paul Scholes, Rob Lee, Steve McManaman, Paul Merson, Teddy Sheringham, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer (captain), Les Ferdinand So basically, Rob Lee kept Le Tiss out and there was no place for Gazza either.
  20. I thought Dolph Lundgren was supposed to be in it? According to GMTV the other day anyway. And Pat Cash, come to think of it.
  21. After being in sole charge of a professional football club for the best part of 10 years, I'm sure he knows alot more about football than you and most of the posters on this board.
  22. I'd wager they'll look more like Dudley Moore.
  23. Seeing as Chelsea were paying a proportion of GLS's wages - I doubt it.
  24. Sadly this is the only way we can survive or progress now, given the mis-management since we were relegated. We have no other choice and take-overs are pipe dreams really, considering the global economy. It's going to be a slow process, but I'm optimistic eventually we'll get there. Plus we'll get to see alot of homegrown youngsters progress before they go to 'big' clubs - sob.
  25. Agreed. Why is this? Are the media scared of criticising Keane? He's spent an absolute fortune getting them promoted, keeping them up and then supposedly moving onto the 'next level'. They should be properly competing with the amount of cash they have spent, yet they are still very, meh. What Brown has done at Hull, now that's good management. Spending £150m odd and still flattering to deceive - isn't.
