We all knew last season the prices were dirt cheap. Renewals worked out at something like 12 quid a game. It's almost that to watch Eastleigh play! The price rises will be steady til we get to the Prem. That's what we all want, isn't it?!

As we really need someone to kick the **** out of people in midfield, then I would say that both Gavin Mahon and Shaun Derry could do a job at this level. Carsley would be great on the sort of deal we have Connolly at the moment. Otherwise, would Gary McSheffrey be worth a gamble? Was a very very good player a couple of seasons ago. I have it on good authority that Pardew was extremely unhappy about a number of 'incidents' involving Lloydy. One of them was involving a 'lady of the night' in Wales, but was hushed up by the club. Me too. Let the delusion begin. I remember when we were first relegated and whilst I wasn't one of the 'we'll walk this league' brigade. I did expect us to be more competitive than we were. They are in a world of trouble compared to the shambles our squad was in when we went down. I think even if they escape a points deduction, they'll be lucky to stay up.

LOL. Take the rose-tinted specs off. He's miles ahead of Waigo and Antonio, different player completely to Lallana and maybe on par with Puncheon. IMO would be a great signing, although we have bigger concerns elsewhere in the squad...

Would be a good signing for about 250K-500k. Over that and I'd be thinking we could get better for the price. No-one, is going to pay a mill for him.

It would be nice. But, if he doesn't get a move to a lower league P'ship club or decent C'ship club, I'd be surprised. He's shown ability at the top flight in a pony side. He'd be cheapish, so can see a fair few teams being in for him.

As I see it: IN Semi - Def worth keeping for another year, has looked decent Connolly - Def worth same sort of deal as this season Antonio - Worth a year or two, is young and prob relatively low wages James - Again prob worth another year or two, can't see him progressing even to a good Championship player though OUT Thomas - Wages too high and we could pick up a better free to replace Wotton - Sh!te and can get a lot better on a free Lancashire - Shame, as I thought he had potential, turned out to be sh!te Molyneux - Sh!te Pulis - Sh!te Undecided Waigo - I think it all depends what may be out there as a replacement.
