Nothing like a bit of chef snobbery. I think its much worse to be a "hero" and order your steak blue.

No doubt has a young family to think of too. Why should he go away for England games away from his family to sit on the bench and play 2nd fiddle. If I had a family too I would see that time as an ideal opportunity to spend with my family.

Go to my Dads pub - The Dog and Crook in Braishfield. The grub is pretty good there. http://www.dogandcrook.com/

Mr India in Kensington Olympia is absolutely brilliant. Bombay Brasserie in South Kensington is great too. I have a curried lamb shank. Pretty sure it wont the award for best Indian in London last year too.

The ECB are so deperate for him to be Freddie Flintoff. The sad reality is that his batting isnt up to it. Decent lower order who might weigh in with a big score every now and then but certainly not an "all-rounder".

Why did you take your Personal Assistant to the game?
-
Yeah been there for a couple of years. He's brilliant with the kids. They all seem to love playing for him.

Williams is a lovely bloke though. Hes the coach of my nephews team at the academy.
-
Shame. I had a sneaky feeling he might have made a surprise appearance just before kick off or came on as a sub by walking out the tunnel with 10 mins left or something... Is there a confirmed squad for the "legends" team yet?

Has anyone found a stream for the match?
-
Technically though, that was two things.

If the lad doesnt have the 2nd picture blown up x 100 and framed within a month I will be amazed. What a great photo.

I get the feeling he would only be better if he played alongside more talented, athletic and quicker players. Sometimes in midfield he slips through so many through balls which Rickie and Barnard dont get on to. As much as I like Lambert and Barnard it would be interesting to have someone with a quicker speed of thought/better understanding of Guly's game and see if they were able to click with Guly's interplay.

Jesus wept. We finished 2nd in League 1 mate. Its been an enjoyable season but lets put things in to perspective; we've left clubs like Rochdale, Leyton Orient, Yeovil and Exeter in our wake. I think some fans need to remember we were in the top division for 30-odd consecutive years, have one of the best and most successful academies in Europe and resources probably not matched by 20 League One clubs put together. We won promotion. Have a drink. Enjoy it but dont get carried away!

Destroy everything but win a great deal too. I dont think he'll ever be short of job offers. He is welcome as Adkins Assistant Manager.

Walcott is a regular starter in what is largely considered to be the best footballing side in the country and also a regular starter for his country. I dont think Walcott will be losing any sleep about "what could have been" had he stayed at Southampton.

I see your point with regards to Morgan, AOC and Lallana. I would expect another midfielder to come in and challenge Hammond and Chaplow for that last remaining place though. Although Hammonds form in the run-in has been good.

Yeah I think I've been proved wrong now. Just got the impression the lad was injured and had been put on the bench to make a 5 minute farewell appearance towards the end. Given the fact he got a decent amount of game time, played reasonably well and got on the score sheet in the process suggests he actually was fit. I hope he stays. If only for one more season, see if we can do a Norwich or sneak a play-off place and then take it from there.

Saints V Walsall Post match chat PROMOTION .

Finishing the season just 3 points Brighton is a fantastic achievement given our poor start. Adkins is a genius and I have every faith he will have us firing on all cylinders at the start of next season. Look, I am in the building and on the bus. It's as simple as that. -
Judging by the scenes on Final Score a few seconds ago I dont think they'll be lifting it today...
-
Remember Theo and Bale's last games for us. It was made pretty obvious they were saying farewell on both occasions. I hope I'm wrong. I think we are moving in the right direction and think he should give it another season at Championship level rather than jump feet first in to the reserves of a Premier League side.

Saints V Walsall First half Chat. Party On!

Huddersfield 4-0 up already... ;-) -
Is it me or does AOC being on the bench today smack of giving the lad an opportunity to say goodbye to the fans? Isnt he supposed to be injured? Looks to me as if Adkins will let him come on for the last couple of minutes to say his farewells. What does everyone else think?

On a serious note the Bombay Brasserie just off Gloucester Road takes some beating if you are a fan on Indian cuisine.
