  1. Some common sense at last. Too many people getting carried away. It's good to see him become more reliable recently.
  2. Boufal is obviously not enjoying his time here at the moment. Didn't really bother to celebrate his goal. Guess he'll be heading off in the summer. Pity, we'll miss him.
  3. Because Hasenhuttl items are respectful, fair and play to the whistle. Nothing wrong with that.
  4. Danso is struggling and often leaves Son unmarked. Stevens should shout a bit more.
  5. Cedric now Armstrong. That's our right side sorted. Whose turn next? We can't get through their lines this afternoon and we are wide open at the back. Jose will send out a different team after the break, watch for the long balls down the channels to their fast runners to stretch us.
  6. How times change... Leeds United are close to completing the signing of French striker Jean-Kevin Augustin. The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Monaco from RB Leipzig but is struggling for game time. (L'Equipe - in French)
  7. Perhaps they have a better mentality than that which has led to the superb camaraderie of the team; we win together, we lose together, we make mistakes together and we succeed together.
  8. 3 wins from safety, top ten what's not to like. Hate to say "told you so". Just keep the faith, we ain't finished yet!
  9. Reality check. We are 4 wins from safety so stop worrying about relegation it ain't going to happen. We're in good form even if we slipped up against Wolves. Palace are solid if unspectacular. I'm going once again for a Saints win at 3-1.
  10. No it wasn't. My apologies, completely screwed up on this one. Sorry Steve.
  11. This was not you? "Yep totally. Matt Grimes to Saints with Mane to Exeter in January would be even better if a bit harsh on Exeter. Seriously, I'm not sure he's good enough for L2 on this evidence and recent games. Someone compared him and Papa Waigo - Papa had his faults but he was miles better than this bloke and I watched most of our games home and away in 2009/10. At least he got into dangerous positions despite the offsides and got a few goals. How crud can the Austrian League be? Would prefer to have Antonio to him, not that I think he is PL calibre either".
  12. Obviously that little lad provided the match highlight...
  13. Shades of your assessment of Sadio Mane
  14. We lost a game that's all. It's not the end of the world.
  15. You do talk a load of tosh mate. Cedric was by far our best player today. One bad result and off you go...
  16. Two things caught up with us today; Our settled team were knackered after all the efforts since Christmas - Bertrand, JWP & Ings were nowhere near the pace today The subs have not had enough game time to be anywhere near up to speed - Boufal, Djenepo & Adams are good players but they need to play enough minutes to stay match fit and sharp Ralph needs to use his resources more wisely, of course do not change a winning team but at least give the subs a good run out week-to week to remain effective
  17. Oh!dear and it was all going so well. Onwards and upwards as they say.
  18. I used to drive to London and back every day in my fifties. Cobham to Soton and back for a 30 year old in a supercar would be part of a great day out for him. Anyway he probably stops off on the way to check out his property portfolio.
  19. That's how I see it at the moment but he can't go on forever. He seems very settled and very happy right now in fact more so than in a very long time.
  20. The age thing is certainly a worry especially with Ralph's high energy style of play. Doubt Bertrand could keep up in a year or two.
  21. Leicester City have lined up Ryan Bertrand as replacement for Ben Chilwell, if Chilwell is snatched away by Chelsea this summer. According to Mail reports Bertrand has 18 months left on his current contract at Southampton. It is claimed that Chelsea could be interested in him as well. Bertie is 30 so the question is would we offer him a new contract in the summer for 2 years or let his current contract run down and give him a free at the end of next season? With no sign yet of an adequate back-up let alone a protege ready to step in in the summer it would be a supreme folly to even contemplate letting him go. Even if we were offered £8m for Bertrand it would cost us far more to bring in a decent prospect to replace him.
  22. We're talking ourselves out of Match Threads as there is nothing to dicussmost weeks.
  23. Yes indeedee. Absolutely loved him. Second best winger ever to Stanley Matthews
  24. Good player for us. I remember his goal at the Dell against Reading, I was just behind the goal and in the Echo photo. Lot younger 'though!
