Yep, if we end up with a midfield that has Charles, Downes, Smallbone, S Armstrong and Alcaraz to choose from then I'd be really happy with that.
-
TBF Holgate did drop down to play with West Brom and did OK(ish) from what I can gather. Not sure about Ryan Fraser - seems to have stagnated the last couple of seasons and attitude wise is the only person to have pissed off "nicest man in football" Eddie Howe. Clearly either or both Sulemana and Tella are off in order for us to get Fraser in which is a shame.

Thanks for posting some transfer news. Definitely need more of this.

Yeah, I agree. Everyone will know that a decent striker is the most important part of the jigsaw when it comes to getting promoted and I imagine they'll have worked on the assumption that Che would more than likely be off. I expect we've got a number of targets in mind and if we can't get them then we don't sell Che. I'll be bloody glad when the window is closed.

We should be hiring the bloke in pajamas. Sneak him into the oppo dressing room and job done.
-
Decent analysis but minus points for using the phrase "onboarding"

Thought McAtee was at Sheffield United? Anyway, they want him back along with a number of premier league clubs and Man City have apparently already rejected a 30M bid from someone. I can't see it happening if I'm honest. Most likely is he ends up going on loan to a premier league club.

Just because you think you can do better. You strikers are all the same. Massive egos.
-
I think we should play Alex Law up front.
-
It's speculation. What the fuck are you on this thread for if you don't want to read it?

Would have thought Adams going was always in the mind of Wilcox so you'd imagine that he would have replacements in mind but the only strikers I can remember us being linked with this window are Sydney Van Hooijdonk, Andi Zeqiri and Piroe. Piroe would have been fine but the other two are a bit questionable for me. Neither have great stats and that's in leagues inferior to the championship never mind the premier league.
-
Yep, very strange. Doesn't appear to favour Piroe at all. Fucking annoying if Swansea can convince Piroe to sign a new contract but we can't do the same for Tella and Smallbone. I'll give Che a pass because he's at least proved (limited) worth in the premier league.

Alcatraz was just off the coast of San Francisco, same as it always is. Not sure about the others.
-
Yeah, could be that. To be honest I didn't know that the link was from last December - I guess that could make a difference now. Had a quick look at the highlights - difficult to really tell how good (or not) he is. Reminded me of Hojberg a bit.
-
I'd rather not but fill your boots, I'm not stopping you.

Doesn't sound like he's too keen to move anywhere this summer. He said this after being linked with Rangers: Kerber said: "The international interest is a great honor for me and is also the result of my performances so far this season. "However, I can completely rule out a transfer this season. "FC Saarbrucken is the club of my heart and my dream is to see them in Bundesliga II before thinking about any transfer. "And I still have a lot planned for the future with my club."

You OK hun?
-
I just hope we don't get Haaland in to replace Che. Apart from his goals I don't really see what he offers the team.
-
You’d like to hope that some players would only be allowed to leave if it’s feasible to replace. For me that would include Che, ABK, Tella and KWP.
-
No, Sulemana wasn’t there and neither was Simeu. Just realised that Ballard wasn’t either. Funniest moment was watching Sam AA tackle Tall Paul. Edozie and Larios sat out the sprints but took part in the ball oriented exercises.
-
No McCarthy at the open training session.
-
He should probably consider breaking that algorithm - it's the only way to be successful.

There's no point asking about the crap of last season. It's done and over with and we'll get the same answers we got in the Echo interviews so don't ask about that. Instead ask about what we can expect in the next couple of weeks, such as: What positions would you like to strengthen? What qualities do you feel the starting eleven is currently missing? Which players have you slapped a "not for sale sign" on? (surely we can financially do that now?) How close are we to bringing in players that you want, rather than the ones you've inherited?
