Vic To Come On at half time.
Davis to return.
4-1-3-1-1 System.
Elia left, Davis middle, long right, Mane Free role, Pelle upfront.
Schneiderlin holding
Nobody plays the left side better than Elia.
Something I've noticed this season is luck plays an important part in which team wins. Yesterday we were the better team. Everton had the luck of the bounce. The ball broke for them and they scored.
Tim Howard makes two incredible saves and JWP misses by the width of a goalpost with a free kick. It happens. If Tim Howard has a bad day and JWP targets inside the post, then we leave Goodison winning 0-3 or 1-3.
Stop blaming the manager. Today was Lady Luck shining on Everton.
I would also say that a lot of the second half was down to tiredness of our internationals.
Koeman started with Elia because he was fresh.
Mane plays better behind Pelle, Long and Mane should have been a straight swap. Mane cannot play on the left.
I like the point your making. What type of team are Burnley? Aggressive, physical?? Technically probably not as good. I guess they will try and kick us off the park? I would still play Davis and bring him off for more creativity around the 60 mins mark, when the game opens up. This is probably a very good game for Reed to be involved.
I think everyone noticed Davis once he was subbed. I think some on here are blind to what he does for the team. His work rate is incredible. Very organized and does the basics exceptionally well. Links play and keeps the the tempo high.
I think players like Isgrove Have an important role in training and as squad depth. He is very quick and would test any wing back we have with his speed.
Has made a few good appearances for the first team this season. Shame about his injury.
Gallagher looks like he's nearing a return to the first team squad.
If we have an option to buy would we not have bought him in January. I guess the owning club must have said no and re-negotiation will take place at the end of the loan spell.
Is Alderweireld as important to us as Morgan?
