  1. Isgrove and Martina offered contracts by Blackburn apparently.
  2. Trouble is we won't know whether Liverpool qualify for the Champions League until August 23rd.
  3. He did not come on loan. How many more times. He was here on a short term contract, shame he is not being retained.
  4. Is anyone genuinely surprised? Coco is to Erwin Koeman what Jeremy's Pied is to Puel. He's out of contract, would have left last Summer if Pied had not been injured. Nice guy, but really not good enough for the PL.
  5. Wasn't she wearing a tight red dress on Sunday? Not that I was looking.
  6. He was sat in the Itchen/Chapel corner a few rows in front of me. Not exactly the full quid, appeared to be completed ****-faced. With a ruddy-faced foul-mouthed "mate" who seemed to be mainly concerned with shouting at Puel, calling him all sorts and telling him that he should push off back to France as he apparently doesn't know what he was doing. Hopefully the "streaker" bloke will get a lifetime ban from the stadium and should get a criminal record, perhaps his mate will also get done for aiding and abetting (he held his clothes for him). Haven't seen these two before in this area (which until yesterday is not Family Area but will be next season). Really don't need ****s like this in the ground. Streakers have not been the same since Erica Roe.
  7. No you don't. You buy a ticket to watch a football match. The aim of the game of football is to score goals. Therefore you pay to see goals scored. Except at Southampton we seem to have forgotten this. 6 blank sheets in our final 7 home games, its a ****ing disgrace (and I don't completely blame Puel for that, Tadic, Boufal, Redmond, even Gabbiadini, Prowse and Davis as well have been shocking in front of goal since February). Last few weeks, utter utter dross. If we were to continue like this next season we will be relegated.
  8. Go. Has become a total waste of space. He can take Sofia Annette with him as well.
  9. But would have been counted in the "attendance". Attendance figures are based on tickets sold, not turnstile clicks.
  10. 6 in 7 actually, and even the season we failed we were top of the bottom half. 8th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 2nd, 5th. We also had more points per game in 82-83 than this season and scored 54 goals (even allowing for extra 4 games of course). The football was also somewhat more exciting.
  11. This, it was quite clear that Charlie and Sofiane were being readied to play, the Cedric injury meant Claude had to change his subs. I thought from Sofiane's reaction (looking ****ed off when Cedric was replaced) that Claude was going to persist with Charlie, but clearly not. Shame, bringing on Charlie would have been the better change in my view.
  12. Apparently that is correct (usual incompetency from the FA in terms of how they apply punishment). Only applies to penalties, straight red cards and sendings off (i.e. second yellow). Has been in place in SPL for several years I heard. What also isn't clear is how this will be policed, i.e. will a review board check incidents in every game, or will it require the opposition to appeal, or will it happen if someone posts it on Facebook. The FA are quite right to try and stamp this out, but their way of doing so is badly thought through. Might as well sell Tadic this summer, otherwise he will only get 1 game in 3 next season :-)
  13. A big man? In terms of height he certainly isn't, maybe you know something else? He does look good, has very good pace, if Cedric doesn't move we are well stocked in this position wit McCarthy back as well.
  14. He is more often on the Premier League Show and Football Focus these days, highlighting his forecasting abilities. Bit ironic that this thread appears this week, one of the few when Lawro correctly predicted our score.

That would be pony. Surely worth a monkey at least. He has been much better this season.
  16. Renewed after much thought. Hopefully things will change over the summer that will help things improve next season. The awful home football this season made me seriously consider not renewing, together with the increased frustration of travelling due to road works etc. But after over 50 years of support the thought of not going regularly was too much. Hope its not too badd being in with the kiddy-winks next season, could have moved but like where I sit and the people around me.
  17. Rubbish. It was hardly a weak team in terms of players. Tuanzebe was the only inexperienced player. Pogba was unavailable (family bereavement), Fellaini was suspended, Ibra, Rojo and Shaw injured (and others I think). Bringing in de Gea instead of Romero, terrible. We dropped Gabbi, Davis, Tadic, Soares, Redmond and JWP, should we have been sanctioned? Don't give a damn who plays for United on Wednesday, just want to see my team, hopefully winning, I don't go to see opposition players. If United don't put out their best team that's their lookout.
  18. Unless he picked up injury after he arrived. Wouldn't have travelled if he was injured.
  19. 8 wins from 24 gives 10th which is mid table in most people's books, as I said. Think your obsession with arguing with me for no justifiable reason has lead to your lack of comprehension of my post (so what's new). You also missed the point completely by trying to pick an argument.
  20. Wrong. If we played exciting football and lost every week that would be one thing, but if we played exciting football and had 42 points from 35 games only a select few would be moaning.
  21. We've won just 8 of our last 24. Fine lines between relegation and 10th.
  22. I think its you that may have been watching a different game. It wasn't as excruciatingly bad as Hull but it was still awful. Disjointed, slow build up, Tadic having a mare (again), Davis passing dreadful and shooting, no service etc for Gabbi, Redmond ineffectual, even Romeu playing us into trouble a few times, 2 shots on target, 2 goals. The only good performances were Stephens(again) and Cedric. Terrible game, but at least an improvement on the last home performance.
  23. He said the worst since admin and points deduction. Really don't see much to argue with there. It is, by far. We may be 10th currently, but the lack of goals, excitement, entertainment, wins at home, players with flair and passion, manager with lack of imagination, passion or personality and a board who seemingly care not a jot means it is really very poor. Something needs to change soon and drastically.
  24. This. Also Bertrand, like Romeu, has already been at a "big" club, seen what it does for him (nothing except earn him a CL Medal) and is seemingly content with being at a club like Southampton. As long as he continues to be part of the England set up I don't think he will be looking too hard for a move away (assuming all the Puel bust up rumours are just that of course). To me it is one of the advantages of signing someone from one of the big clubs, their desire to move to a big club is much less).
  25. Should also include Hojbjerg (21) and probably Redmond (23). He didn't say Academy players just young ones. Didn't Harry Lewis get a league start? What ever happened to him seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth like McCarthy.
