We seem to be getting a bit short on the keeper front (obviously this loan was planned), assuming Gazza does go as well. Can only think one of the U18s is set to step up to the u23s/u21s, Adam Parkes presumably. With Taylor a non-playing keeper any issues with Forster or McCarthy (like last season) and we will be even more short of backup than last term.

He was probably worse than most people are making out. Apart from scoring a terrific goal he literally did nothing else. Had to be coached by Fonte when playing, he was so useless defensively. Going forward he was not even average. He has something on Erwin. Lovely bloke but **** footballer.

Fonte left because VvD was to become captain, that was pretty clear and why VvD captained the EL teams an José didn't play. Vigils contract and Fonte leaving were all part of the same issue. Why Virgil or his agent would be upset at being paid more money in return for agreeing to stay as captain would be a mystery.

There were only nine days between Puel's being sacked and Pellegrino's being confirmed as his replacement, showing how the dossier enables the club to act decisively in appointing new managers. Only 9 days after Puel was sacked. More than 3 weeks after it was known he would go. Far from showing how good this was it actually shows how we had no replacement in mind. Do people seriously believe the Black Box is so wonderful or that our structure is so little affected by change of manager. Every new manager has brought a change of style. The whole Southampton Way business really is just bull**** and changes with the mind of Les Reed in my opinion.

So looks like Watson is being kept to coach Forster and we keep existing fitness coach whose name escapes me, so not all good.
