Fonte left because VvD was to become captain, that was pretty clear and why VvD captained the EL teams an José didn't play. Vigils contract and Fonte leaving were all part of the same issue. Why Virgil or his agent would be upset at being paid more money in return for agreeing to stay as captain would be a mystery.
There were only nine days between Puel's being sacked and Pellegrino's being confirmed as his replacement, showing how the dossier enables the club to act decisively in appointing new managers.
Only 9 days after Puel was sacked. More than 3 weeks after it was known he would go. Far from showing how good this was it actually shows how we had no replacement in mind. Do people seriously believe the Black Box is so wonderful or that our structure is so little affected by change of manager. Every new manager has brought a change of style. The whole Southampton Way business really is just bull**** and changes with the mind of Les Reed in my opinion.

In ranking Fraser Forster as the 7th best keeper in the PL this season they have demonstrated that the author has never seen him play and knows nothing about keeping goal. Typical ******** based questionable stats that gamers rely on without reference to the real world. One good game.
Usually people who have no idea about what is happening with Dutch football and can't be arsed to find out. I keep track on the Dutch football team as I used to live in the Netherlands.
Big assumption. Unlikely to do so, currently 4th in their group, 6 points behind France with 5 to play, 3 points against Luxembourg on Friday might help I suppose given the top 2 (France & Sweden) play each other the same night.
So the only one saying that Puel has been sacked is the OP. The Express article doesn't say it and no-one else is reporting it (yet). Really the thread title should be changed to stop people getting their hopes up prematurely.
The interesting bit in the Express article is that Forster is in the Saints team of stars that we would have had if we hadn't sold them, so Forster is on his way then.
Mostly to do with experience, Targett has been a regular for the U21s, while Sam has only played once I think. McQueen will probably get called up, sure to be one of the little preciouses will drop out.
