Bit like on here for most of our players. By all accounts (well at least not the ones on the Stoke Forum) he had a very good second half of the season after a sticky start.

Maybe they are removing the VAR equipment 😉

Nope, joined on 10 June 2022, so 11 months.

But it did in Granny's days which is the point.

Not to be a pedant either but the saying is if your Aunt had balls she would be your Uncle. If your Granny had balls then she wouldn't be your Grandad, DNA/Genetics doesn't work like that.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
VectisSaint replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
Given that he is out of contract, whatever he is on now or has been on is irrelevant. His current option is unemployment, so a very low offer might be tempting (given he is already (or at least should be, a very rich man). -
Didn't Adams score 22 goals in his last Championship season for an ordinary Birmingham side? Proves he can do it at that level, i.e. the level we will be at next season, so it seems to make sense to keep him, he should be a better player now with the experience of the last 4 years. Trouble is if he stays and we manage to get back up what do we do with him then, knowing he's not really good enough for the PL. Could make the same argument for Armstrong (Adam)

By the time the transfer window closed, 4 of the senior players had gone, Romeu, Stephens, Redmond and Bednarek.

I actually hope we don't lose Selles, but can't see him dropping back to being an assistant. I still think as i said at the time he was appointed that he needed a good assistant alongside him, but nothing happened. When Jones was pushed (rightly) we lost 3 members of staff and they were not replaced. OK, so none of them were any use, but they still had a job to do and those jobs were not done.

Worst Player of the Season Award 2022/23
VectisSaint replied to niceandfriendly's topic in The Saints
Onuachu, Orsic, Bree, all signed in last window, all a total waste of space (I'm sure Orsic actually isn't but WTF). -
Loan to Burnley is the most likely option in this scenario.

I know Lawrie was/is a big guy, but I remember when this photo was first around thinking it made all of our players look like midgets, not so much KK and Bally (who were) but even big guys like Chris Nicholl, some strange photo trickery I think.

Maybe because he died on the 26th April.

Allowing Romeu to leave. Not signing a (decent) striker. Keeping Ralph too long.
-
He is injured at the moment (hip), that's why he has not featured in last couple of games. Hoping to be back for their last game on May 8, but not certain.
-
Great idea, make him stay, have him mope around because he is unhappy. If he wants to go then he will go, contracts aren't really worth the paper they are written on. Saints pissed him off (allegedly), he has no loyalty to Saints (he's not even a Saints product). he may not end up at Burnley, there will be other suitors who can afford him.

Leeds need a draw or win to claim the title, Friday against West Brom (who are 4th). Not a foregone conclusion but the odds are with Leeds which would mean play-offs for Saints.
-
Gary Neville picked up on it and mentioned it several times, very critical of Martinelli.

You forgot the 7 minutes (or was it 8 added in the 1st half. Commentators couldn't understand where that had come from, seemed to forget the lengthy stoppage for Theo injury and associated drinks break.

You seem to be ignoring the need for the B team to win promotion, another season in PL2 Div 2 is likely to be a disaster, and since I posted my message nearly 4 weeks ago nothing has changed as far as I can see. By the way I don't think Horseman was ever involved with the U18s. Its quite clear that the B team has been very much an after thought this (calendar) year since the new manager debacle. I understand the logic, but it is going to hurt in the long term unless we can win promotion through the play-off (or PL2 gets restructured as I suspect it might).
-
The point is we have to win against teams around us. We are 1 point behind West Ham, if we lose that will be 4 with only 9 left to play. Games against the bottom clubs are "must win" at this stage.

I'd swap the man with the camera for what we have now.

Been a problem all season, 16 goals in 18 games, no goals in last 4 WSL games now. Mathematically now out of promotion chance, though it was a long shot before.
