Why is he "nowhere near good enough", successful loans in League 2 and League 1, surely backup in the Championship is the next logical step. Agree that perhaps the PL was a step too far, but is there any point in keeping him if he can's step up one more level.

Water birth?

There were plenty of balls into the box yesterday, but no predator there to make use. I stand by what I said, without a proper striker or two we will get nowhere. We need more creativity as well, but you can create all the chances you want but if you don't have someone who can put away the chances you are doomed to failure. To get automatic promotion we need to score 70-80 goals, I can't see any of our lot making serious dents in that total.

Without a new striker, preferably two, we will get nowhere this season. We are toothless in front of goal. Deja Vu.

Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool

Seemed a little odd that he played only about 30 minutes yesterday, almost everyone else played 45. Could also be argued that Charles is a potential replacement (would be better if he to strengthen). -
Thought Perraud was injured.

He's a free agent

Have thought all along that Brighton would be more likely than any London club. He does come from Pompey after all, even if he now lives in Winchester, Brighton are in Europe next season, which is more than can be said for Fulham. Why are Boscombe ruled out as well, pretty easy to commute from Winchester? Could also see him linking up again with Poch. I actually don't think he will leave

Now that is something I would like to see, just what we want in MF.

It was down to Les and his deal with VvD to make him skipper and build the team around him. VvD was made skipper for the European games to ease him in. Don't think Puel had much say, it was Uncle Les who fucked everything up because he believed that VvD would stay, rather naive really. To be honet i wasn't Fonte's biggest fan, there is some rose tinted spectacle wearing going on. He was prone to catastrophic errors (like most of our CBs), but hey maybe he can take over from Ollie Lancashire.

Barcelona is actually in Catalunya (Catalonia), its capital, an autonomous community of Spain. Oriol is a Catalan "international".

at least until Vesuvius blows.

The points deduction was applied last season so that isn't an issue. He hasn't signed yet, presumably he might if some of the issues are resolved. There may be better options, but some players have different goals in mind at the end of their career rather than just making money. Theo is (or should be) a relatively wealthy man. Someone will end up playing at Reading, why not someone who at least has an affinity with the club. Swindon would be an alternative, but they are as much a basket case as Reading and even lower down the scale (and maybe he doesn't get on with Charlie). Personally I think he could have done a job for us, but seems like he and others think otherwise.

Some of the players missing are due to international commitments (obviously not all).

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25

Jack Stephens added as well. Note that Dynel Simeu is not listed here or on the B team page. Just an oversight? Would have expected him to be in contention for the 1st team after 2 seasons away on successful loans. -
Reading is pretty much Theo's home professional club (nearest to where he grew up, not born), don't think its any surprise that he is interested in going there, and Selles presence there probably helps. Likely to have been Reading or Swindon.

Don't mind the design of the new shirt, but why does every picture modelled by a player (male and female) look like they are wearing a child's top.

South East Water are well known for their channel discharges (like Southern and every other public water company in England). Bunch of sh*ts.

He was announced in January, I don't reckon there will be another announcement.
-
Note comments from Wilcox, so he is already in place.

Impressive indeed, remember he had a triple heart bypass years ago and further heart conditions after.

I see that Andrew Sparkes (goalkeeper coach) left today, paves the way for Martin's goalkeeper coach's arrival.

It is the Premier League AGM that is relevant, not the Championship one. At the PL AGM the three relegated clubs will transfer over their Premier League certificates to the promoted sides. Although the PL state that this is a key date in the Calendar they don't actually say when it is. I thought it was actually tomorrow, but there are some reports that it was actually last week on the 8th.
