Would have been difficult for Painer to play his whole career at top flight for us wouldn't it, given we were in 2nd tier at the time he started. Played a hell of a lot more games than Le Tiss did though. Actually played 75% as many games as Le Tiss did in the top flight and then played another 400 approx on top of that. Kept himslef in better shape than Le God and was arguably as good in his day. Was always a bit of a knob though, so maybe that's one thing they have in common.

Sing "One Nigel Adkins" by all means, but then follow up immediately with: "Welcome Mauricio" or "We've got Mauricio" (physio tune). Make the new manager feel welcome, he is not the bad guy here and deserves our support.
