  1. Did you name your son Damien?
  2. Sorry, you're right, my bad.
  3. So assuming Lee signs, will he be the player born furthest away from SMS in the northern hemisphere. That discounts all of our Antipodeans and South Americans. Incidentally wasn't Charles Miller (Sao Paulo) or even the guy nicknamed Torpedo (Argentina) born further away than Guly?
  4. Lallana made his debut against Yeovil when we won 5-2. He looked decent but nothing particularly outstanding.
  5. Hopefully not, we have FA Youth Cup game this morning. Might see some of the Development Squad, given its 7 subs today (I think)
  6. To be fair, at least that way he might get paid.
  7. Given he never played for Saints is he really a "former Saint on the move"
  8. I would read into this that we will be bringing in another CB in that case.
  9. We need a confidence boosting draw. Play the best team and plan to concede an og in the last minute to get a replay.
  10. I recall the Jennings/Shilton goals (although not live, only on TV), Shilts was in my second season supporting Saints. There is actually an article on goalscoring keepers in Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_goalscoring_goalkeepers I am still not convinced that Jonny Vegas actually scored or was even a keeper, he is too much of a lardy (even more than me)!! We need a Saints keeper on the list (besides Shilts and Brucey).
  11. Just out of interest, how many other players in our squad have played 9 times for their national side? And of those who has represented a side in the Top 20 of the FIFA Rankings? Jaidi has over 100 caps, for Tunisia ranked 59, Connolly also has caps for Ireland (ranked 22). I think thats it.
  12. The players wouldn't play in unwashed kit, so irrelevant. I understand your point but reality is that if this were to happen TV would just say screw you and tell everyone that NA did not wish to be interviewed which would look much worse. Really we do not want sanitised interviews, they are already complete cack, managers unwilling to say anything of any hat actually interest and reportrrs asking banal questions with no imagination. Sadly the scenario you are wishing for represents all that is wrong with modern day professional sport. A few gaffs and and cockups is what makes good viewing, not politically or commercially correct platitude
  13. Sir Alex doesn't like doing interviews at the best of times, and is a miserable old scroat, not the best of examples. But what I don't see is how this is Saints fault, I haven't seen the interview but I assume it was being done by TV company or something at the Amex. Are you seriously suggesting that we employ someone to be in between any of our staff/players and ensure that it is set up professionally before they are allowed to speak? I see where you are coming from but it ain't gonna happen is it. These sorts of interviews are about spontanaity (sp?) and getting a quick reaction after the game, managers are flustered and wouldn't wait until the minder says all is good to go. I guess you would have had someone stopping the Spuds players soaking Arry at an interview last year (personally don't think the players went far enough, they should have drowned the fecker in the bath).
  14. A draw would be better, then we get a replay as well. Its not as if January is a busy month, so a replay would not knacker anyone.
  15. It is no good trying to reason with Alpine. He makes similar statements every time there is something going on. Then when it doesn't trasnpire he finds something else to moan about, and quietly forgets everything he said before. The best thing is to just ignore him, unfortunately it is not enough to put him on ignore because people keep quoting his "ravings" which is just what he wants, normal troll behaviour. Sadly he occassionally talks a lot of sense, but he seemed to lose that ability over the Xmas holidays and reverted to type.
  16. It may be releagtion form if we had only played 8 games, but when we already have 47 points, a point per remaining game would still get us well into the top half, so stop talking twaddle.
  17. Nope, 17th is what you said time and time and time again. Nothing else will be accepted as you being right (not even 18th).
  18. Most neutrals would see that we are top of the league and not see the short term run of bad form. Not everything is rosy in the garden, but FFS we are not going to be relegated (unless we get docked points). I'm really hacked off this afternoon after the last 2 results, I'm not a happy clapper, and you are quite right that you are entitled to your opinion. But opinions are one thing, spewing utter tripe is quite another. It is not that everyone is being happy-clappy, just that the majority on here have a modicum of sense. I really am beginning to get fed up with this Forum, I'm ****ed off enough without reading such codswallop from people like you, Alps and Metal Mickey.
  19. Nope, you said 17th and have quoted it many many times ad nauseum. If you have balls, then at least try to stick by what you said, and don't try to change it by calling it lower mid table.
  20. Not disagreeing that things are not looking good right now, but how could we not be in touch with the Top 2 at the end January. Worst case scenario, extremely unlikely (bit possible) we could be 7 points behind 2nd place. That would still be "in touch" in most people's view. There are only 3 more games this month, and none of us are likely to lose or win all three.
  21. It does not pain you at all, you bloody gloat over it. By the way 17th is not mid-table, so you can stick your fecking prediction where the sun don't shine.
  22. OK, now we are fecked, WTF was RL doing
  23. Dicount them at your peril, 2 games in hand and now out of Europe, they would not be far off the pace if they won today, Posh could do everyone a big favour.
  24. Although I agree with you, some people on here have said the same about Martin, and they are so wrong.
  25. As CanadaSaints said, no impact players. If you are relying on Forte then we are fecked. I am happy to eat my words if he comes on and scores a late winner, but he really is out of his depth. He has pace, but that is no good if you have no movement off the ball, getting up to speed from a standing start is his problem. Still the starting line up looks good, so lets hope that the Brighton hackers don't upset that too much.
