So why is it daft to temper expectations? You are allegedly a Saints supporter so should know all about that. There are few that come back from an ACL as good as new, and those that do take time I'm confident Tino will as well, all being well but I'm not going to fall for the hype that his return is already going better than expected. Will be truly surprised (and delighted) if we see him in action before 2023.

Agree totally, but a million (gross) over 3 years is not all that it is cracked up to be. Imagine how much of that would actually be left after 3 years as a teenager, can't live the rest of your life on the interest of diddly squat. Bear in mind also that he would earn a fair proportion of that if he stayed put, it's not a million extra. To be honest he would be badly advised to move to Newcastle at this stage in his career, it's not like he will be guaranteed first team football or anything, and no European possibilities at least for a year, so he will just be kicking about in the u21 league division 2. If he is as good as it seems surely Man City or Chelsea would hoover him up and he would at least get to play in UEFA.

Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool
VectisSaint replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Already signed according to Wiki (no it wasn't me that edited it). -
Hate to disappoint but 1m gross is hardly "set for life" these days, though it might seem to some.

Mitch Le Tiss played in Matt's testimonial ๐

Every time I see that training kit I think that they are all crew on some dodgy cruise ship, the Love Boat or something. -
Signing Chas Austin from Brisbane Roar.

Well, 2 County "fans" aren't fussed (one called spaff). Wouldn't take too much notice of what "fans" say on Twitter, bit like on here.

and now he's doing time. Perhaps not the best example.๐ -
Apparently the rumour of him going to Turkey is incorrect.

Are Saints funds being used to fund a Turkish Div 2 club?

Lyanco isn't going. -
Admit I avoided a couple of pieces on the BBC site yesterday because from the pictures I thought they were articles about Women's football. Later realised they were about Phillips moving from Leeds to Citeh. โน๏ธ

I wish the lad no harm, just keep in mind Sam McQueen before you get too excited.

Watson and SKD and the other one whose name now escapes me have gone as well

Is this some sort of time warp? Surely we were told this week's ago. Perhaps they are getting worried that no one is in for Walcott yet, rumours were he was looking to go MLS.

Armel Bella-Kotchap - Official: Loaned to Verona
VectisSaint replied to Ldnsaint's topic in The Saints
Enough of this positivity, only bad stuff allowed here thank you. -
Still a little bemused with this, clearly it's well advanced it would never have broken cover otherwise, but given Man City want to keep him is it impacting other business we would like to do with Citeh (obv did not impact Bazunu though).

Good signing by the looks of it, nice that he brought his Mum and Dad (former Cameroon international). French by birth, wonder if he speaks French, would help with our increasing number of French speakers. -
Bit odd, what qualifies someone to have a valid political opinion? Recording artists (usually known as musicians or composers) often have very valid political opinions/views. Probably more so than journalists or lawyers or the like. Some footballers have very well thought through political views, others are just twats. You should not tar people with a brush based on their background.

Nor was I to be fair, just looked it up ๐ Before my time (just)

Unless of course they see it as a retro from 1954-55. when they won the Football League Division 3 (South).

He has been playing top flight football in Poland and Turkey for the last 3 seasons (Turkey last season, Poland the two before that). He hasn't played second level since he was on loan in the Czech Republic 4 years ago. Perhaps you are getting confused with Gavin who was playing in a 3rd tier part time league for some crap team last season ๐

Lis doesn't need a work permit if he is going to be loaned out to one of the other SR Clubs
-
To be fair so far he is the only signing of the season

If Pep was watching England against Hungary and/or Italy he would have crossed Philips off the list. He was complete and utter crap, and got JWP an unwanted yellow into the bargain with his hospital pass in the Italy game.
