Completely over the top reaction, Tim you are usually quite sensible. Completely outclassed Premiership team for 50 minutes and should have been 2 or 3 up, but for some poor finishing and one or two saves by England's #1. Great reaction when Pompey scored. Their second wasn't even particularly late, we were still going for the win. The 3rd and 4th were down to going balls out for an equaliser. I seriously think you need to have a word with yourself and see that in fact we were ****ing good today. 3rd division v 1st division and it was difficult to tell which was which, but individual skill told in the end.

We were undone by not scoring in the 1st half when we were well on top. Scoreline flatters them, but not unexpected result (I was OK at 1-2 as it meant 10 points in the Prediction League). Still it hurts.

Looking good, may live to regret some of these missed chances though.

Good, the later it gets the more likely they will be past the date for going into Admin and getting points deducted this season. If they go into admin late they will be relegated AND will get a penalty next season. I think there is a precendent

Several of the points are quite reasonable, particularly reference to Lowe, and to be fair MLTs haircut was awful. I think they missed the point somewhat with the Statue, and they could have made it better for them, after all the real problem is that it looked more like Mandic, don't recall references to Krankie. They missed an opportunity there to have another Agent story like the Redcrapp one (perhaps the statue maker was a closet Pompey fan or something made up). Bobby Stokes goal was not offside.

Yep, its a big "no thanks" from Saints supporters who have enough nouse to understand that he is yesterday's man, and that his past honours are past and well past at that. Since then he has become a media whore and is now a standing joke as hist time at Notts County has demonstrated. In as much as it should have been a straight red I suppose. sat right by the incident, it should have been a straight red, WT was very very lucky that the ref was determined not to dish out cards. However I admire WT's spirit last night, he was severly provoked on several occassions by the dirty MK players (they really have some nasty pieces of work in their team, a reflection of their manager I suppose) and they were working on WT to get him sent off, it very nearly worked. But he was the only one on that pitch last night that really showed that he cared. The central defence was truly appalling, prone to panic with a back pass and unable to clear their lines.

Has to play Saturday because there is no option, but should play anyway with Jaidi and Perry in the middle

Now Alan, please don't heed this silly advice. We would be in a hell of a lot of trouble with the FA if play cup-tied players against Pompey, our 6th round opponents and Carlisle, all in the next 6 weeks or so. 4 players cup-tied last night (and for Carlisle) and 5 for Saturday and the 6th Round. Also managers have to be able to make small changes to suit conditions/opponents. In general I agree with the principle of not chaging a winning side, but I would not pick the team that won last night for our next league game, because frankly we were very very poor

Duncan, almost totally agree with you about Thomas. His reaction was disgraceful and I thought he should have been sent off. BUT, and its a bit but, he was severly provoked by some awful behaviour by MK Dons players who quite frankly were also disgraceful. In Thomas's defence also he was just about the only player on the pitch that was actually showing some passion, hence his standing ovation when he was subbed just before full time. The outcome of the night was feckin fantastic, but look beyond the result and the game was diabolical, and our defending was absolutely awful. Jaidi was terrible, and the panic that set in at the back when the ball was in our half was crazy. Our defence doesn't seem to know how to clear a ball, a hefty boot into Row Z is often what is needed to relieve some pressure - and playing multi-ball doesn't help IMHO. I'd love to know the thinking why Lambert was taking the corners, he was winning every header all night yet he wasn't there when the ball was played in from the corner. I don't believe there is no-one else in the team who can take a decent corner. Anyway que sera sera whatever will be will bee we're going to Wemberley que sera sera. 4th Cup Final at Wembley for me (didn't go to the Charity Shield in 76 have to admit).

Relegation on merit and 10 point deduction next season is as far as I want it to go - and then hope they just stay up so that we get 2 games against them the following year. Don't care what anyone thinks, wishing a club into extinction is sick. There but for the grace of god etc.
