TBF, thats not particulary hard is it. If he is the best RB we have ever had I would be well pleased, better than Golac, Rodrigues, Dodd and so on.
-
SSN had a headline yesterday that Saints had parted company wth their manager. However, it seems that it was St Mirren.
-
So I guess that means he won't be at the last game next season either, as we won't have made the play-offs again Shame really because it will mean him missing the presentation of the league champions trophy I have full faith in ML not being so small-minded as to stay away out of spite. That sort of behaviour from the top man is thankfully long gone.
-
They don't need to respond to rumours, that would be bad. But they could put out something in response to: (1) The withdrawal of programmes on Saturday (2) ML's non-appearance. Neither of these are rumours and could be explained easily by a short press statement (even if they do not fully explain the issues). That would then stop some of the rumours.

Really think that if Pardew gets the push it will be because we are bringing in someone with a bigger, better reputation. That might be Hughes, but personally I doubt it, I don't think he has that reputation with the Italians (and Swiss). Just hope its not SGE or Maclaren. Maybe it will be Martin Jol. Anyone who thinks we are ditching Pardew for Cotterill, Jackett, Wilson or Tisdale needs to keep up. All of them were good candidates when we were on a downward spiral, indeed I was very keen on getting Cotterill a year or two back and he has proved once again that he is a top class lower league manager. But we are looking bigger than that now. Not saying I want AP to go because I don't, but we may not be so ****ed off when someone else is brought in.
-
Who is this Pardew? Quite honestly I've never heard of half of the players who sign for Prem League clubs either. Nothing new there. I follow Saints, don't really give a toss about other players at other clubs.

I don't know if this is the place to ask, but ..

Keeps muttering over and over again, How? How? How? -
Not much chance of Swansea going up this season. Like someone else they finished 7th.
-
Well, for a start there's the ash cloud which is preventing flights out of Switzerland, assuming Markus would like to attend. He also probably has other business interests to attend to on Monday (MALI Group stuff). Then he has to sort out who is going to be the new Prime Minister of the UK, the Greek economy and world hunger. Wednesday is soon enough once the other jobs are successfully completed.
-
Could have been both sets of supporters singing that, Pearson v Jones, 2 managers that were pushed out by Lowe battling it out to get to the play-off final for a crack at the Prem League. Not saying Pearson is better than AP, but he has shown he is streets ahead of the two clowns we had in charge last season, and Wotte as well. Watching the other game yesterday quite amusing watching Ormerod, Crainey, McGoldrick and Blackstock battling it out, now today 2 ex-Saints managers plus Oakley.

As far as I can tell the Wednesday meeting item has not come from the Echo, but from the BBC, probably Solent. I don't think the meeting is a rumour, I supect it is factual, but it is speculation that determining Pardew's future is the purpose of the meeting. And what does determining his future mean anywa, it could mean determining the budget and transfer policy for next season, it could also be to determine the appointment of the Sporting Director which has been mantioned by NC, and the nature of AP's relationship with said SD.
-
Thought so, I was going to rewind on the Sky box to check but then remembered I had switched channel. Doh. Seems odd that only the Beeb have this though.
-
The bird on the FL show said they had been informed there was a meeting on Wednesday. She did not say "to decide AP's future", but in the context of what she had just said this was clearly the inference from her comment.
-
No it wasn't, it was stated by the bird sitting on the table, she said they (BBC) had been informed about this, it was not from an email. (I think)
-
FL shows says meeting Wednesday. WTF?

Think ML has got more class than to use BA. Surely he either has his own plane or uses Lauda Air or even FlyBe rather than feathering BA's nest and that scumbag WW. PS Please stop referring to FF as a coffin dodger, he's the same age as me, possibly even younger :-(
-
Hope he's better than the last player called Inigo that we signed

Slightly more interested this week than last.

You missed the point, why doesn't our OS report this, especially as it was putting one over on the Skates. It actually says on our OS "Keep up to date with all the news surrounding the Saints Academy", perhaps they should add "by looking on our opponents web sites" Its not a big deal, but with so little news around at the moment, a report on an Academy match against the Skates yesterday would seem something to note.
-
Glad to see we beat the Skates. Shame that we can't read about it on our own OS. Nothing on there that I can see about this game, last Academy update was the West Ham game last weekend. Pompey may not have a pot to **** in but they can still manage to put news on their official web site.

Small point of order, Nuneaton N(B)orough don't exist any more. Nuneaton Town won the Southern League play off against Chippenham Town to get promoted to the Conference South for next season. The Boro were liquidated in 2008, reformed later but FA insisted on a new name, hence Nuneaton Town. I'll get my anorak.
-
No, much rather Millwall went up. Leeds are no great shakes, and it will be good to beat a "big team" to the L1 champsionship next season. If I didn't live here and work in Swindon then logically I would prefer Swindon to go up, after all they took 6 points off us and never conceded a goal, but I really couldn't put up with all the wurzels gloating for the next year, that would be hard to take. No, Leeds to lose gets my vote.

Solidarirty with the BA1. Sorry to hear about this Duncan, was gobsmacked when I saw the item on the BBC News earlier. Just illustrates the low life that we have running some major companies these days in this country. Employment Law is weighted so heavily in favour of the employers these days, it is despicable. Many, many years since I flew with BA, they are one of the worst advertisements for this country, dirty tricks and marketing gaffs, they are embarrassing. It would be nice to say you are well off out of it, but of course its not that easy when you have lost your livelihood. Good luck with your case anyway, the more embarrasment to WW the better.

Cheers, thought I was going mad, well more mad perhaps

How do you know? I can't see any results except that RL won.
