  1. Old school or pre-school? AP is actualy being very positive, unlike you Alps. We have zero chance of making the play-offs this season, any chance evaporated during the Exeter game. People who still cling on to this myth that we can make it are in cloud cuckoo land, at least AP has not given up and is still pushing for it (seems clear to me deep down that he knows the chances are slim at best). It would be good if you would stop slagging AP off at every opportunity. You were right with Burley, but you are so far wide of the mark with AP.
  2. He was Ukrainian, not Latvian, but now has become a Latvian citizen and plays for Skonta. Has 10 caps for Latvia, but really has not lived up to his promise.
  3. Will you sort out Saints Player for next season so that we get exclusive coverage, and not shoddy coverage by Radio Solent that includes coverage of insignificant teams like Weymouth, Eastleigh and Pompey? Maybe that question won't be allowed given where the forum is being held

  5. Seems reasonable to me. I guess they introduced this rule in 2008 to prevent the fish ****ers ever returning
  6. So thats everyone in Carlisle going to the game The town will be empty that day (not that anyone will notice the difference, like Portsmouth but without the charm and the Isle of Wight Cat).
  7. Go 4-3-3 and play them both
  8. These late goals are killing us
  9. A goal for Stocport against the Gas would be handy.
  10. Sorry Trousers, didn't mean to **** on the parade, but reality check needed. Don't care that we won't get in play-offs, just fecking enjoying the way we are playing and getting results
  11. Except we only have 1 game in hand on Millwall who are on same points as Uddersfield but worse goal diff.
  12. Sky say watching Saints is like watching Brazil. Given Brazil are 0-0, I think more like watching Brazil should be just like watching Southampton.
  13. At the expense of Holmes!! Think the writing may be on the wall for him.
  14. I see the OS is pushing SaintsPlayer again, with "uninterrupted" coverage of the match. So, that will be no drop outs and no going to other games. I have let SaintsPlayer lapse and don't intend to renew until we get a better service than Radio Rodent with trips to Eastleigh, Weymouth and that other team. Bring back Will Can't Cope!!!
  15. Actually the worst part was being reminded 189,994 times that at busy times it was better to book tickets online. Now that was really beginning to **** me off. What sort of crap system though does not put you in a queue rather than just cutting you off, and then to get in the queue apparently several times and being cut off after about 10 minutes. Can't even rely solely on redial with IP phones.
  16. Cheers David. The old memory is seriously letting me down these days. I suspect I was thinking of the Chivers season rather than Mick
  17. You forgot the 3rd IF, that Millwall are on the same points as Huddersfield. So even if we beat Huddersfield and win the 2 games in hand we could still be 11 behind Millwall. Admire everyone's optimism, but the play-offs were a dream before we drew with Exeter. That result coupled with the other results that day ended any realistic possibility of getting to 6th. We will do very well to finish 8th from where we are now. Very well indeed. By all means come back and say told you so at end of season, but reality is no play-offs this season.
  18. Whoever posted the 0271 number, mucho gracio - 10 minutes or so, after 3 hours on the 0800 number and redialling Just hope my Company do not give me a bill for the call Now all I need is some meds for the vertigo in the top tier
  19. Of course I'm not joking, he didn't sign them, they are not Pardew players. Simples. he can praise them all he likes but they didn't come to SMS because of Pardew. All the others except Davis did. Thats what being a manager's player means.
  20. Agree that they are the most likely, together with James. Not just because of potential but also they are not Pardew players, and so were not brought in as part of his visions. That said I suspect none of them will actually leave.
  21. Imagine it might be quite difficult to find out too much about him. In 2008 he was "Head of Private Banking" at Banque-Hertiage in Zurich. Knowing the way that the Gnomes of Zurich conduct their affairs I would think there is not much in the public domain especially for a head of PRIVATE banking. Before that he was at Credit-Suisse I believe. Seems likely he was moderatley successful, presumably dealt with Herr Liebherr's accounts to have become his friend and confidant.
  22. I think we declared
  23. Could actually argue that League One is very easy this year. There are 7 good teams, 16 total dross and Southampton, good but with a 10 point penalty and a crap start to the season. Fact is the Top 6/7 have been winning week in/week out because they are playing the dross below them consistently. The fixture computer this season threw up a strange set of circumstances where most of the Top 7 are home the same week and away the same week. This means most of them still have to play each other, and is why in the end the number of points for 6th will not be as great as some predict (but will still be too much for us to achieve).
  24. Steve Claridge in realistic assessment of our play-off chances shocker As the man said, it is 6 from 7, and we ain't #7
