  1. had to laugh at myself, thought otsemabor was some sort of short hand (like hcdcajfu), completely missed that is was the name of a new signing Looks like spelling is Otemobor though
  2. Seems to have been approved extremely rapidly, normally planning applications take months. Did the Echo get permission from NC to announce this? If not they should be banned. Oh they already are.
  3. Unless of course SSN are speculating...
  4. Completely agree, clearly Poke is the future for Saints, but is currently gaining valuable league experience with Torquay, meanwhile Forecast rots in the reserves and gains nothing.
  5. Davies' squad number at Brighton was possibly 23 (but also found reference to 19, 23 is Adam Virgo), can't find what his number was at Saints - he was in the Cup Final squad so if anyone can put their hand on the programme (buggered if I know where mine is) it should give his number. His profile on Saints page comes up if you Google "arron davies southampton" as being there 8 hours ago. Found an old programme, 23 was Davies' squad number when he was with us. Make of that what you will.
  6. but with the lowest number of correct score predictions in the top 107
  7. Take that with a huge pinch of salt (if there is any left) then.
  8. Bigger crowds than last season and bigger crowds than some Prem and most Championship teams. Nick is entitled to his opinion but IMHO he is way off the mark on this one. In a recession when generally football crowds are down we are bucking the trend in spades. I think maybe there are other things to worry about, though I can't think of many these days as far as Saints are concerned.
  9. Any chance of signing brother Rui as well, could be a decent backup striker at least for the future. Seems like the two brothers like to be together.
  10. Should have read "his spell there was somewhat longer than it should have been".
  11. So do you know ho w to find it, because I'm buggered if I can.
  12. Wilkins - Snodin (and thats no disrespect to Wilkins)
  13. You can add James Hayter (Sandown) as well.
  14. 7pm kick-off is a joke, some of us have to work and then travel. Changing the date was not a problem but time is silly.
  15. You need to realise that like us, Exeter are also better than Man utd. Witness the fact that both us and Exeter only lost to Leeds by an odd goal away from home, whilst Manure lost to them at home. If you consider its harder to play away from home the logic is clear that manure are not as good as Saints or even Exeter. Simples. Who would I rather see Saints play against, Exeter or Manure, again I would pick Exeter, since I prefer to watch Saints win. I do not go to games to see the opposition, as a Saints supporter I go to watch Saints.
  16. Does anyone else find it incredibly difficult to find ticket news for upcoming matches on the OS these days? You would have thought it would be one of the easiest links to find, but I'm buggered if I can find it now. Anyone help? At least its clear on the MK Dons site
  17. Good, because looking at the history of the page it has been edited 21 times in the last 24 hours, and every time the edit has been undone. Obviously the **** who thinks he can update Wiki knows nothing about how it works, and how it is moderated. The changes will always be undone as long as there is no plausible reference that can be cross-checked for validation.
  18. Ah but Manure were at home while we were away, so doesn't that potentially make us better than Manure?
  19. Looks like we will be the 3rd lowest ranked team in the draw (Notts Co and Brighton below us). Good chance we will be on TV if we get a Prem team, as they will be looking for an upset. Hope we get a proper Prem team at home (i.e. not Wigan or Hull).
  20. How can one person invade the pitch? What a tosser.
  21. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Jan 1 was a Bank Holiday and Jan2/3 are the weekend. Have you looked to see how many transfers have actually been completed? A few loan extensions and a couple of free transfers (players out of contract), thats it. Business starts again tomorrow, but usually these things don't gather pace until the middle of the month, players and teams looking for the best offer and playing a bit of brinksmanship. A few players will go, Saga for sure, but we won't get any/much for any of them, thay are being unloaded.
  22. We'd get a lot more from Arsenal away. Gate receipts are shared in the Cup (45%/45%). We need to draw someone at home, don't care who but would be better if we had a chance of winning. So thats Liverpool then.
  23. Well, I hope you gave them a good thumping
  24. Well, you are in a small minority. I guess then that you have not read AP's comments on the OS. Clearly he thinks we should give it our best shot AND he has had a word with NC and ML to ensure they understand the meaning of the FA Cup which most football supporters in this country also understand. We employ prefessional footballers, they are paid to play football and enjoy playing games (rather than training). They have a week to recover. There is no earthly justification to rest players at this stage. In the end the team was affected by too many enforced changes, and you might even argue that Bart was rested to give Davis a game - will be interesting to see who is picked for the next league game. Conolly and Jaidi were not risked either, how badly are they really injured. And as for the fatuous comment about Donny Rovers, if we get drawn against them then I would fully expect us to get at least a draw, if not a win and we could then stick their train picture up their arse. Bring on R4 of the FA Cup - the greatest club cup competition in the world, we will be the 2nd lowest rnaked club and we can provide an upset at least if we get a home draw.
  25. No, he is going to the Prem, Birmingham have already offered £3m, doubt he will be tempted to drop down with that sort of money being offered.
